I find my speedometer kinda weird. I try to open throttle at 5th gear full throttle rpm stuck at 9k speed at 100km/h then i feel my bike is going faster. Then 6th gear, rpm stuck at 9k again speed still 100!!! KNN forever 9k rpm 100km/h. I can feel the speed coming more. I need a mito to help me clock my speed. dunno i spoil or meter spoil. very weird.... LOLX!!! :faint:

Honestly, i've had this prob since i got the bike and initially thought there was a problem with the gearbox.

 

I was then told by my friend(an ex-mito rider) that its common and not a concern. So since then i have been kicking into Neutral before i stop. Not too much of a hassle once you get used to it...

 

I wouldn't worry about it actually, there are so many other things that could worry one about this italian beauty.

 

Anyway, im thinking of getting GPR70 tyres next month... wads SOP for that...by from HKL then ask other mechanic to fix?

Bro, firstly regarding your speed always staying the same at 100km/h, most prob either your meter gear or speedometer's lifespan is almost up le. My speedometer used to work fine till the speeds starts to get lower and lower, but however i feel my bike's going faster than the indicated speed. Months later, max speedo reading drops from 100km/h, then 85,then 60, 30, and now it's dead. I've mastered riding and changing gears based on rpm speed. No use spending a few hundred on replacing a new speeodometer.

Secondly, regarding your rpm stuck, does your bike have a sudden flatspot or the rpm just remain stuck? If there's a flatspot most prob is your hetting/settings. If RPM stuck but bike still acclerating gradually means the whole instrument cluster (speedo,rpm) chui liao.

bro...don stall the engine as it might shorten the bike lifespan....when i rode the bike in the past, normally when i saw there's red light in front when i was approaching towards...i'll closed the throttle and and try your best to kick it to neutral before the bike comes to a complete stop. adn during that period, rev the bike a bit will do good to the engine too.

Ni Nabay... Wanted to go eat indian rojak just now. On my way there my gear lever the part where we kick the lever, drop out while riding. Was wonder eh where my gear lever when to. No tools somemore. When to petrol station lend some tools then fix the lever with the rear brake lever. Now I got no rear brake.

 

Somemore my bike just can't start after I off the engine or it just die off suddenly while waiting for green light. die off nevermind but the problem is cannot start!!! Have to push start!!! :bouncefire: I m really getting piss of with this bike!

 

Go up slope the whole bike like no life like that! I just took over the bike. Now I m very sad. Not blaming the ex owner. Just dunno how much will it cost to fix the problem. Still think of respraying but for wat? Bike nice cannot perform...

im still fifty fifty...abt selling bike...

 

moreover, i havent received any concrete offers yet...

yeah.. i guess every bike when we take over sure liddat one.. even when my fren bought his CBR400 he invest soo much. eiy. abt going upslope no power, mine also the same.. what might be wrong uh? talking abt push start, i dunno how many times i did it.. hahas.. if too lazy to push then ask some banglas around to push..

 

rilex bro. everytime u high rev the bike, ure testing ur bike. everytime ur bike breakdown, it's testing u...

When to FM today. Change a starter motor at $140. my rectifier spoil liao anyone got spare to sell? Also my piston loose that's all i have to change SO FAR.

 

 

Anyone change a new piston before? How much they charged plus workmanship?

So now after the ARC committee meeting, we have decided to go ahead with the idea of booking PG for "Aprilia Track Day" but we need to know how many of u ppl interested in going for this event. And also need to know if the preference is on a weekday or weekend then we can further plan the whole thing. U need onli a armoured riding jacket, gloves n boots to be able to ride at PG. We will provide experienced ppl to guide the new ppl to techniques of corners. U need not be speeding there..... what we want to achieve is to intro more ppl to how the track is like n also to hope that by learning these techniques, ppl are able to handle their bikes better n thus safer on the roads n also to let those who loves speed to play legally on the track rather than on the road.

 

 

Event : Aprilia N Cagiva (only)Track Day

Date : To be confirmed after the plans are out

Venue : Pasir Gudang - Johore Circuit, Malaysia

Time : To be confirmed

Price : Not confirmed but will be affordable

no dude... i think its the Block that cost soo much

 

that time i do overhaul, my block was chipped..

i bought a second hand one for 300 plus and it was considered a steal

 

if your block no need to change then, you save a lot definitely below 1000.

 

workmanship alone can cost 200plus

But i still think 1650 is way too ex. A first hand block cost only 900+ doesnt it? Piston n ring 200? Somemore his price is w/o cost of workmanship.

my mito doesnt have the power to go upslope. as in not steep slope also can feel the power lost.

 

is there anyway to fix this problem?

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

Yes, the problem's about getting used to a 125 track bike that has lights, pillion seat, and license plate thrown on and then declared a bike fit for normal road usage.

This means the low gears are crap because the engineers weren't intending to make the bike perform at low gears in the first place.

 

So you have to get used to using a little higher rev than compared to other bikes to maintain power when going upslope.

Once you find out the high rev at which your bike climbs sweet you'll have no problem going upslope even with a heavy pillion added.

 

Mitos' are even off-road ready. Mine climbs like a mountain-goat up steep off-road slopes (talking about the ascents you normally tackle with scramblers)

Just get the hang of it after some time and don't fear the high revs.

 

Not a mechanic, but at least that works for me.

Syarif u must understand that Mito is only 125cc n also where is its powerband. Even e usual 150cc ones have probs if u do not utilise the power band while going up e slope.

The only way to fix this prob is upgrade to a bigger class bike.

Dude, Ur problem same as mine. hmm.... mito is a high rev bike so must have many power right? :confused: If i compare the speed of my previous TZM. Speed TZM win hands down but in term of control mito win hands down. How I wish both bike can combine :lovestruck:
