My Mito is officially Gonez.. I thinking of scraping it. Everything gonez except for the Engine and the wheels. Anyway, was kinda feeling suxy to see the bike in such pain. Haiz... Gonez for a few days Brothers. Was hoping that the repair will not be 1k and above. be back when i am better.

 

Anyway, Bike crash at Paya Labar Expressway entry, not me but my sub-rider. He fly off but he is fine. Least for the worries. See if the bike is really worth the attention, then i will consider repair if not i will scarp it lo.

Hi Mito friends,

 

Need advise. My almost 10 years old planet is now running without power.The 4th gear and 5rth gear seems to be at the same speed, doen't want to go faster. The 6th gear which is the crusing gear only barely reaches 100km/h. This just happens after my 680km ride from Kuala Kangsar ie. http://www.perakriversafari.com.my. According to my personal mechanic it mention that this could be due to the carbon stuck at the top block that causes the decrease in power but he is not able to clean or service the parts since he has no parts for it. He mention that this is normal for old bikes whereby the parts need replacement. Well had call various people some say that a block can be revo for at least 4 times and so just need to replace the piston, piston ring, con rod.. etc without changing the block.THe block can be revo or polish so as to fit the new piston kit.

Had check for piston via Internet and notice that there are 2 types, Dome & Flat also piston comes with double or single ring. Some say double ring lasts longer than single ring as such the piston can lasts longer but a single piston produces more power.I am confused now, as upon searching they say the Cagiva Mito DOMED Twin Ring 56mm Wiseco Piston Kit is expensive but a good investment. According to my personal mech,once service top block and upon physical checks only can decide what the problem could be.

Can anyone assists what could be this low power issue? Could this be because of carbon stuck at top block and exhausts?Do I need to change other parts? Anyway, if had done the bike I am also wondering if any cagiva riders interested in an endurance ride to Perak? I will lead the way. A rider Paul Meredith had done on his mito on a 14 days ride known as the iron butt rally. I believe 680km is nothing to a mito engine.

which u can use to check for compression loss. check your block/piston/rings/valve/plugs/tyre pressure. maybe some carbon in your valve ran into your block and caused ur piston to seize(touch wood). cheers.

Just back from FM... Saw 2 aprilia under servicing. Saw my Mito again. Sian.. .. ..Crash without me. 0_0 . Anyway, repair cost $700+++ excluding new paintwork - Likely $400++

LOL.. see liao dam dulan.. Just destroy my helmet by slamming on the floor. haha.

guess is 50% destroy liao. i going crazy liao. Sorry man, too many bad luck going on me.
