decided to DIY it, but not sure of the wiring.

the set doesn't comes with any relay & i'm wondering if one is needed.

search the net & found some wiring diagram, in fact almost all of them requires a relay.

so i'm just wondering if any of u guys actually had a fog light on yrs & koe how to actually connect it.

A relay is recommended.

Reasons:

If you connect to a switch directly, unless you use a waterproof one, you might face current leakage/short-circuit due to a wet switch internal.

A relay acts like a secondary switch, you can put it somewhere that shields it from water. It helps to prevent current-leakage/short-circuit from battery due to wet switch.

Whichever method you use, make sure that your wires, switch, fuse and relay(if any) meets/exceeds the current rating of your fog lights.

Cheers.

yes, the relay is critical as it takes the load off the switch, otherwise the switch may melt over time. If you look closer, the wires to the SWITCH is thinner than others. You can buy the relay from car audio shop for between $5-$8.

For bikes, it is not necessary to install "Indicator" but you have to be very aware as the fog lights are not obvious from the riding position during the day. If the foggies are accidentally switched ON, you will melt the covers since they need to be covered on Singapore roads.

Another improvement I can suggest is the fuse holder. Blade fuses are suitable for automobiles as they are more robust, and being flat they are easier to store. The standard blade fuses are cheaper and more commonly available than mini blade fuses. The fuse should be as close as possible to the battery.

Fuse holder, and blade fuses can be bought from Sim Lim Towers. Not expensive stuffs

This connection diagram is as simple as it can get. Just follow the diagram, you can't go wrong. Make sure every connections is correct, and the last connection is the wire from the battery to Point (30) on the Relay.
