electric starter spoil just change the starter lohz. If i, i send for repair and then sell the bike for $350 :cheeky: Sell thing must sell in running condition mah :smile:

Juz an update, I'm fine here and really miss coffee sessions with you all :cheeky:

Really miss my Skipper too and it's in a bad state now cos my good friend crashed it twice in a month and told me Skippers are not safe! :mad:

 

How are things for you (ex) Skipper riders?

 

btw, xue selling her Skipper and another person selling a nice looking (from pic) orange skipper. Wonder if this person is the one who started this Skippernet??? :confused:

Will be collecting my skipper on thursday. So is a newbie to this skipper. Can anyone tell me what to service or change? when to change? things like that...

 

Where can i service my skipper at any bike shop? Do the bike shop got the parts?

congrates on getting ur skipper... i am still riding and is going on well... the rest either has sold off cos wana get a better bike or spoil liao... throw away liao... hahahaha...

 

some shops u can go to is XXX Motor... taihin... sunrise.. not in order... to me these 3 quite good lar....

 

the shops u can check it out in this forum...

 

erm... better to check belt and rubber mounting wor... these are fatal... the rest just leave to motor shop to check can liao... :smile:

if cold cannot start.... kick start lor... but try rev abit and start.... maybe will helps lar...

 

1 full tank can go around 180 to 200 for me... urs 120 is abit too little... so gota check again ya....

Engine morning difficult to start, check the auto choke, maybe wire snap or auto choke not working.

 

I get abt 150km on a full tank.

You all pump full tank how much?

 

I pump when close to 0 for $8.05 (after discount) around 5.46Litres, then travel for 118km (light on le, for few km, i scare later die.

So i go pump 95 around $9.90 6.49litres after discount.

 

But saw you all say, can travel 20km/litre, then isn't it normal to travel to travel 118km for around 6litres?

 

CAn i ask you all when light on, can still travel how far? I saw the meter got 0 then still got a reserve thingy after 0 right? tat meter cannot move till there? then whats that for? If my full tank can travel only 120+km, then what happeneD to it? what can i do to save petrol? hai, sad...

light on depends on ur FC. u have ard 1.5 litres. i used to go 30km/l. still make a trip to sch(35km) when light's blinking.

 

but never trust that light...better plan ur route for refilll. terrible to be stuck on rd with no fuel.

Auto Choke is located above the carb. must look thru the hole in the box under the seat. Very hard to find, best is go to a bike shop and ask them to check

 

As for fuel - Just pumped Shell 95 6.20L $10.69 B4 the light came on travelled 149km so fuel consumsion is 24.03km/L

According to Haynes Workshop Manual

 

Fuel Tank Capacity --- Total 8.0L

Reserve 1.5L

 

2T Tank Capacity --- Total 1.5L

Reserve 0.5L

BTW wat type of 2T do you guys use?

 

I'm using Castrol 2T. Any benefits using Syn over mineral for the Skipper?
