No doubt K800I is attractive but bit thick..... reason why being expensive is that it uses cybershot lenses for its camera..... digital type thats why ..... however, i am not convience on this phone yet.....

Anyone selling K750I ? Looking out for a friend. Prefer got warranty and MUST be full set. Thank you! :cheeky:

Frankly, the camera features does not impress me, even if it claims it is using the cyber shot lens. All you have to do is to test it out the quality. No doubt the sound quality is good but not perfect cause it is NOT meant to be a walkman phone!! ....SE strategy on K800i is no doubt its cybershot camera lenses and it has to compliment it with a 3.2MP in order to bring the better quality. A physical feel of the phone itself does not bring much comfort to me as its pretty bulky and many of my friends who in the first place was very impress with K800i has already been put off by its not so much said quality and physical feel. The outlook might be attractive but thats the selling point but to really have a go at the features and feel of it, then you will come to know the value of the phone... :cheeky:

Im also very interested in getting the K800i for the camera function. However, i tried the hp n just like my bro's k750, I dun like the joystick. up & down still ok but can't get it to move left & right easily even with fingernails. I am using the s700i, bought for the camera function & the nagivating keys are easiler to use. But then the k800i camera function is damn clear compare to my 1.3MP. I was hooked when try out the k880i but after more test on my bro's k750i, I am not that keen liao becos of the joystick & speaker quality is not as clear as my S700i.

Anyone who bought the k800 got the same complain with the joystick?

I just realised something.

Life is not difficult. Its the people around who makes life seems difficult. :|

The joystick has been a trademark of its features so its unlikely that it will changed the design ..... cause u need to know that the PCB is design in such a way so that its reuseable!! ..... i personally think ur S700I is good enough....however, if u think u need a camera quality, i rather u spend the money from K800I ($700 -$800) to buy a REAL camera and no doubt, i assured u you definitely can get a very high end ones.....

Quality not good? Hmm, i was able to take the F16s flypast, fireworks etc and enlarge it on a computer screen without doing any touchup...was the correct function selected?

Well, been talking about this phone, comparing with friends for some time....then came the new paper review on this phone.... even the reviwer said the camera wasn't that impressive but overall, its good cause in general, its one of the best phone CURRENTLY that "properly" integrates camera functionality into a phone..... but maybe for arguement sake, does any think that with the amount of money paid for the phone, one would got a better camera ? and just a camera? heeee

Hmm..the fact here is since the phone camera cannot compare to a camera which has all the function by itself, why should one buy such camera integrated phone? Moreover, a camera nowadays does not comes as big as last time. IMHO, as long as it has a video recording and a very basic camera function, i think its "good" already...... I would put my money more on a phone that comes with a wealth of multimedia like music enjoyment with good quality sound..heeee :cheeky:

True that seldom one would carry a separate camera around but that does not mean one would not need a camera even having a K800I !

that's pretty true, I must agree that the functions are not extremely impressive, but it's the best currently. However for the price I'm paying, I'm getting a 3.2mp cam, a phone & a acceptable (well, as least to me) mp3 player all in 1... what more can I ask for?

Juz my humble opinion...

Oh no, think you misunderstood me. i'm not suggesting that the K800i should replace a camera. As a matter of interest, i've just purchased a 10.3 Megapixels camera for use on trips.

However, in unforseen circumstances, say, a accident / incident or i witness something interesting, the phone would come in handy, i have in fact sent such impromptu photos to the Straits Times...and i must say the resolution of the photos were very impressive.

No offense meant k..

10.3MP?!?! .....:lovestruck:

How much was that !?!? .... My best was the panasonic lumix.

Now i get your meaning.... yah true that nowadays with MANY road bullies blah blah... We need photo or even video evidence...perhaps a good quality one would bring out much more details.... but i still feel too ex to use such good phone for such inciddents..who noes the road bully brings out his own 6mp or even better ones!!! :cheeky: :cheeky: :help: .... By then its a fight of who had the better picture quality :nono: o_O

Tinking of getting this phone, trading my old 6600 hehe n signing 2yrs plan. Wat is the market price for signing 2yrs plan for tis phone now?

Isit a good buy for tis phone?

Posted

ERm...I read somewhere that the phone dun have bass...but for me, I think the sound quality is quite alright...dun think sony will xplod the phone this much so as to pave the way for future phones... but the sound quality is acceptable, if you are not too much into the quality...although I think its alrite...maybe u can borrow a fren's k800i and have a try...

andy...want to change phone le ar? i think now with 2 yr plan is abt 500++...I've been using tis phone for less than a week....not much complains except tt the ringtone is pretty soft...n its size is nt exactly small...comparable to my previous 7610 except tt its smaller...but thicker due to the lens cover which is slight filmsy...overall...a good phone imho...
