To do layup you need to go lta to settle official paper work. Pay 5+ dollar and you are done.

 

You need to give them the address where your bike will be parked. Insurance and road tax not needed once you layup.

just pay admin fees of a few $ to LTA.

 

next is parking fee. if you are staying in landed property or condo, then nothing else to pay.

ok. So whats all the things i need to pay for during e duration of lay up?

 

only $5.45 to LTA for Layup

And $16 for season parking (HDB)

unless u live in private house, then u can just park inside, if not LTA will require u to state down the address where u will be leaving your bike at.

 

if happen that they got check and your bike not at your hdb carpark then gg liao...! layup cannot be at your hdb block itself, must be at carpark or workshop.

okay, back to topic.

 

recently i've ask lta regarding transfering of bike ownership to underage person and bike wld be lay up after transfering. the reply was transfering wld not be a problem BUT the person who will be receiving the ownership Must hav insurance covered for the bike, if not cannot transfer.

 

so i guess the anwser wld be yes. insurance is needed.

haha. wat i mend was under 18.

 

jus a normal 3th party insurance wld do. price, i'm not too sure. hav to ask the insurance co.

 

pls update on how much they quote u as i wld lyk to know how much does a 3th party insur wld cost too! :D
