Hope you guys don't mind a newbie asking this, but how to I adjust my clutch so it bites earlier? Right now it's like I have to let go of my clutch lever fully before first gear kicks in. Or do I have to go to a bike shop to get this done?

If you not sure, can get shop do it and teach you how to. It's actually quite easy and a biting point like yours isn't so good also cos the clutch cable will be stressed and snap more easily. Yea... And remember to oil your cable frequently to ensure longer lifespan

How to adjust clutch cable is you locate the clutch cable rubber sleeve cover. Push it out and you'll find 2 knobs. Just need to loosen the one closer to the handgrip then adjust the other one. Test by starting your bike and check the biting point. If cannot, neutral gear and release clutch adjust again.

A bit confusing I think. I'll try and take pix of the 2 knobs tomorrow. You confirm can recognise

Thanks a lot Dag. I actually changed my clutch cable a few weeks back already but didn't realise that I needed to adjust the cable for a better biting point too. Will try it out soon.

:) no problem. I was super noob barely a year ago too. But picked up a lot from biker friends and my friendly bike shop friends. Also need to read up more and must dare to go for hands-on approach. Still got more things to learn ah but at least won't get cheated easily by bad bike shops anymore

I know what you mean. Anyway, I checked my bike but there's only one knob to turn? Should that be the one?

There will be 2 knobs. The flat washer and the fat knob. The fat knob is to adjust your clutch. The flat washer is to tighten up everything once you're done. Have to make sure to tighten the flat washer up to your grips when you're done else the vibrations during traveling might cause your clutch cable to pop out. Not a good idea.

Hi guys, I recently bought a new FZ150i but will only get my bike next week. haha i know now is the worst time to get a brand new one, but have to lah for my personal reasons. :)

1) Can anyone advise on the running in procedure for this bike? like which KM to change oil etc. and at what speed must I maintain.

2) Maintenance wise, other than EO, oil filter and spark plug, what others do i need to take note? I saw somewhere in previous post mentioning about STP- for fuel injection system?

3) Tyres. How bad is the stock tyres? any recommendation for tyres? sorry i dont go to Malaysia, so I can't get the highly mentioned and recommended "Maxxis" tyres. Any good and long lasting tyres in Singapore? Also, are the tyres with tube or tubeless..?

Hope to learn more from more senior riders on this bike like yourselves!

Hopefully, I'll see u in 2 years time (=
