1. my budget is around $3k, going for installment

2. planning for 3 year and going until possible to afford a car

3. yes, but they never get back to me after tell me possible to test drive

4. Thank you, it’s good to have experience biker to advise us new rider! ^^

1. Your 3k is it playable cash? because there are immediate fees you have to pay upfront. Road Tax, season parking, Insurance. Maybe a deposit then continue with COI/reloan. So far on the 1st September. NTUC income dropped its prices for 2b fairing bike as highlighted to me by CKA. so it will not be necessary to get yr moto insurance from MSIG (Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group). So please give NTUC a call first, they will always answer with a customer service officer...not some machine.

2. Its a good plan, I've had my bike for close to 2yrs now and i have had no regrets...initially i was asking myself why i made the option to buy a brand new bike which cost close to 9k OTR; ...but having ridden it for some time now....its a nice reliable bike to have. It has never broken down on me before other than the usual battery flat fail start-ups. Aprilia RS125 cannot be compared to Derbi, why? RS125 is 2-stroke and Derbi is 4stroke. 2-stroke will always outperform 4-strokes in terms of speed. But in terms of reliability; 4 strokes have a lesser chance of breaking down...compared to 2-strokes....BUT disclaimer here; this breaking down part is always up to the owner to maintain.

3. Just bring your helmet down to CKA bukit batok. Look for Roy the chief mechanic, the bikes are all ready there for you to test ride. You're lucky you now have second hand Roadwin Rs to choose...last time most of us here had to buy brand new...:faint::faint:

4. BTW welcome to this thread just remember to thank everyone here who has helped you, don't be like others just post question ask for help than disappear.

Anyways...I forgot to mention. Choong Kok has one of the best after market service. You can consider buying a derbi or a rs125 but you really have to source hard for a good shop that does a proper servicing for you. In our Daelim 125R, all the consummables, parts, etc are all under one roof...and i know the mechanics for close to 2years already...they are naturally nice hardworking folks willing to troubleshoot etc....thats why i abit reluctant to change bike...heehee....must wait for a good deal than i finally reluctantly regretfully leave the daelim group.

1. are you referring to $3k cash in hand? Oh, does that mean I can get CKA to check the insurance pricing for me or I had to check it out myself?

2. I am not going for 2-stroke bike; I know they are fast speed demon but I prefer something with completed combustion and fuel consumption. (correct me is I am wrong)

3. I see, I will dial up CKA for checking before I drop by.

4. sure! ^^

I am looking forward to after sales service too! I had read review on others where by the after sales service are really getting people boiling hot.

thanks for sharing your point of view with me and tips! ^^

Not to mention the under-slung exhaust...:p:P what was the price for the Derbi?

I know Yamaha R125 and RS125 both are 14k OTR...I'm guessing its roughly the same...

anyways chiaph; daystar's bike is new and its as if he run in for you and sold to you cheaper...so its a good deal. Summarize for you, our 125R is big, reliable, competitively priced, and the aftermarket service is good. only the insurance will put alot of ppl off...but hiaz youngsters these days pocket all full of $$$ and eitherways it will be money well spent. Good Luck with your choice!:thumb:

yup the pricing is roughly there, i was quoted $15k for derbi

i'm considering about it, due to i can't full cash payment but installement. haha, i also wish my pocket are like those youngster! ^^

wa kao.. 15k for derbi?!?!?!? might as well go get the yamaha r125, or go straight for aprilla rs125 even better.. if you have that 15k tat is...

maybe because i am a new rider that's why the pricing are at higher rate?

CKA got two ixil pipes i think, one just to call the carbon fibre type and the other one they call it the shorty.. the one you see in my avartar is the carbon fibre one.. it is longer den the shorty..but now i change again. still a carbon fibre one, but its almost as short as the shorty.. cka told me is a new model/design for the carbon fibre one.. should cost around 800-900 ++.. exact price you need to go to cka to ask ba

Haha... no la... I've seen 2 ppl with the same moriwaki pipe over the last 2 weeks. Got one RW his design is so nice, but he has no speedometer. And it's covered with fairing one. Smaller version of super four fairing. SO NICE MAN!. Forget to take the pic down. He parked at geylang shell station on the concrete ground.
