if i'm not wrong , you need to ride longer to have your battries fully charged first...

If after doing all those , the problem is still there meaning your battries need to be change already..

For example my battries i believe it's more or less time to change already.. each time need to turn off my headlights so that bike is able to start..

correct me if im wrong people.

when a batt is discharge over a period of inactivity, there is a buildup of sulphate crystallines on the cell plates, that is actually robbing the spaces on the cell plate which could have been used for holding the charges...

currently u have quite a few options, change new batt, send the batt to be desulphated at !imb@t for a few bucks or send to ur fav bikeshop n ask them to do fast charging for an hour....

pardon my funny langauge as im using on screen keyboard to reply

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

Try taking ur bike for a long ride. Let it rest and the next day, try starting. If that fails, get a new battery from lab. $28 only.

Its harder to start because bike is not getting enough charge ;) Usually in SG we ride short trips..

Corrent in a sense, less voltage used means more for starting bike

Asking all the expert for advice here. I'm going oversea for 6 weeks, what thing should i look out for my bike?

park your bike at a close biker friend's carpark... since you are going for 6 weeks... get season parking for that period of time at his carpark... ask him to start your bike once every few days and let it idle for a while...

it would be best if you could chain your bike down to something stationary such as a tree...

enjoy your overseas trip! :cheeky:

hi everyone i need some help, i try everything as shown below yet my bike still maintain at 100km/h with full thorttle.

Problem 5: Cant go more den 80 km/h

Reason: You are not in the 6th gear

Solution: Down 1 time 1st gear. up 5 times to sixth gear

Reason: If confirm no 6th gear, gear box may be in bad shape

Solution: Go to a reputable workshop for a checkup, may need to over haul.

Reason: Insufficient Engine Oil (Very bad)

Solution: Check with dipstick as according to manual. Buy Engine Oil from petrol kiosk and top up.

Reason: Clutch may have been worn off (Engine reving very high but no power to go any faster)

Solution: Bike shop chance clutch.

Reason: Air fuel mixture too rich (Crazy vibrations at higher revs making it too uncomfortable)

Solution: Tune air fuel mixture leaner (Turn screw anti-clockwise 1/2 - 1 round)

Reason: Sprocket may be worn off

Solution: Change sprocket and chain.

you sure clutch plated check?

cause clutch plate in mainly the reason for that kind of speed...

if tried everything and still the same, sent bike to DR. chong for checkup.. COugh

further possible reasons:

throttle cable jammed and unable to open the throttle body fully

too much engine oil

worn spark plug

faulty ignition coil

blocked air intake

expired air filter

tyre pressure too low

hole in your exhaust pipe

containminants in your petrol tank

speedo is lying to you

someone stuffed ping pong balls into your exhaust

your bike says that you need to cut down on that cheese

There is a problems with my TA200. Actually I'm intending to send my bike down to planet tomorrow morning but want to do some enquires to find out how much I have to actually spend.

Okay, this is the first time I am experiencing this problem. When the bike is idling, the engine sound not constant. For example, the sound goes like "ta-ta-tatata". After idling for some time, the engine start to stall. Or on the road, when I coming to a stop(close throtter), the engine stall/dies off.

Have any bros here experienced this problems care to share their insights? Very worried have to do overhaul :giddy:

From what i think, it just Needs tuning.

Use your ear, tune your carb and idle.

I really hoping that's just the case. Tried re-tuning it myself but the engine still stall after awhile (like after riding 30mins plus). Been riding for 2 years and the sound seems to be different from what I been hearing the past.

I NS not much time to attend to my bike also. Hope nothing serious.

that usually happens to me when a day after i hit 120km/h (on the speedo) for ard 10km stretch along ecp otw home.

it's like.. pick up is very soft... become bike become very weak.. unresponsive... when start up.. some times need to pull choke... idle speed will skip a beat or 2... sometimes die..

ah.... thats y i only ride at 90km/h, max 100... and all is fine now =)

but if it were a problem, i would say it's the spark plug... i usually change it at every EO change... $5 nia.. hee... freq ard 1.5mth once...

Do what's right, not what you think is right. =)

increase your idling speed.....

if bike can idle properly..and still stall when engine is hot..eg while waiting for traffic lights bike stall..symtoms of lean mix.

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

Thanks bro, if it is just the matter of re-tuning the carb, it will be a big relief for me. I would say partly my fault as well. Riding w/pillion @ 90-100km/hr on speedo for 1hr right before all those problems started.

yea you should try to increase your idling speed...

another possible reason is that water is leaking into the carb... some phantoms are known to die off while idling in the rain...

had probelms starting my bike today..kicked and kicked for half and hour..try everything also no use..finally called tow truck..ended up my cdi was spoilt..changed a 2nd hand one ..($100) and all's fine now..

Problem 4: Cannot / Hard to start bike

Reason: Battery may be weak (confirmed by a tick sound from the right side cover under the seat).

Solution: Push Start, and go get battery replaced.

Reason: Fuse may be blown.

Solution: Check Fuse. Fuse is located on right side of bike. Remove chrome cover under the seat and see. Look out for the centre of the fuse if its broken then FUSED lor. Change new one.

Reason: Bike is in gear, kill switch is on, no petrol.

Solution: Obvious.

Reason: Rectifier issue (despite new battery, bike soon becomes hard to start again)

Solution: Get mechanic to check with a voltage meter. Ah chong has one.

Reason: Petrol topped up too full - Don't laugh.

Solution: The petrol tank is not meant to be filled to the brim. Leave some space for air.

Reason: Water in petrol

Solution: Check that fuel cap is secure and no leaks

Reason:CDI spoilt

Solution: Get replacement..CDI under the seat.

Others:

- Check ignition coil for sparks.

- Check magneto coil.
