Wow, this post is really hot. Would love to join, but no riding gear la... kinda dangerous going up with no protection.

OK, for the benefit of all, here's the directions to Alai.

- Starting from Portuguese Settlement (I assume most would know where this is), head towards Ujong Pasir i.e. away from town centre
- You will be riding in a nice kampung area on a 2-way road
- Go straight until you reach a T-junction
- At the T-junction, turn right
- After you turn right, keep a lookout to your right for Crystal Bay (it is a housing area)
- Turn right into Crystal Bay
- Travel along the road and take the first right turn (once you turn right, you should see houses on both sides)
- Go to the end of this road and you will see a make-shift car park and a row of Malay seafood stalls
- I usually frequent the first stall
- Recommendations:
1. Nasi lemak
2. Otak
3. Deep fried sotong
4. BBQ sotong
5. Grilled fish (I like the smaller kampung fish as opposed to the big siakap or tilapia)
6. BBQ prawns

I would skip the tapai (not nice). Go there around 7:30pm - 8:00pm. When I was there at 6:30pm the last time, they were still preparing the food.

thanx for the info Jason. As per our conversation thru the phone, this place seems to b quite far from the resort. But like i said, i'm quite flexible and open to suggestions by the rest of the team. We'll c how it goes for dinner.

Hope u can join us. Proper riding gear is advisable but i dun expect u guys to buy those riding suits with full face helmet if u do not have. Up to individual preference.

ya now riding fz6. its the IU cover leh... the plastic u lift up before inserting cashcard. Hard to find old one leh.. Can't be replace the whole iu somemore, cause its just a lid making noises above 120km/h :bouncefire:

Guys, more info added.

Riding Gear

Recommended touring gear (Riding boots, touring jacket, gloves & full-face helmet) but minimum requirements at least Jeans + covered shoes is a MUST. No slippers, Bermudas & singlets.

We canâ€™t force everybody to spend hundreds on touring gear, hence it is up to individual as long as u meet the min requirements.

What to bring.

- Additional t-shirt as it can get all sweaty and dirty after paintball or buggy ride, especially if it rains or after rain.

- Basic tool kit for ur bike. Eg, â€œwormsâ€ for those tubeless tyres, chainlube, additional 2T for 2-stroke bikes, etc.

- Ensure that your bike is in good condition for the ride. We will be covering approx 400+ KM to and fro.

- Have plenty of rest and sleep the night before, do not come if u are sick.

We are hoping this to be a fun and relaxing trip so that everybody will have a great time and enjoy ourselves.
