Advice on spec 3 tail

u wan diy can but abit hard

 

u nid:

- spec3 under tray

- spec 3 tail

- spec 3 tail light

- spec 3 num plate holder/mudguard + num plate light (this one optional but ex oso)

 

first ..

 

the spec 3 tail can say ALMOST direct fit to ur spec 1 subframe.. u either fix the glovebox(batter there) the fitting gam gam or u can fit the subframe mounting gam gam.. u can only choose one..

 

so i recommend u to fit the subframe(near the tail light there) that one.. then for ur front one.. BEST is take go mould.. then re-drill the hole to fit your glovebox the two mounting more accurately..(that's wat i do) if not.. use those flexible brackets....

 

then since u go for moulding liao.. might as well mould away the pillion handle bar hole oso..

 

then the tail light u use those flexible bracket u bend n fix to ur subframe mounting there.. spec 3 undertray u remove ur spec1.. spec3 one almost direct fit.. no nid modify.. but u need to trim abit at the back..

 

that's all.. happy diy-ing.. lol

if w/o items i think installation varies from 50-150(my guess i dono)

 

buy ur items from chong aik or whatever shops they have at that area(if noe u noe wat i refering to.. like FJT, weda, etc..)

 

they r the wholesaler.. cheaper than getting elsewhere..

saw a shop at doing spec 3 tail for less than $300. tail light and tail including workmanship. how to tell if the tail is the better quality?

found them at ah boy..... $85 for the tail board.....

 

$85 for the taillight..... installations $50....
