i ask tow to tow back to planet le. wana ask them to stip it down n full checkup.

check the rectifier. cos if this is spoiled, can't charge up your batt. no matter how many new batts u change also useless. cos there is no charge going to your batt. my friend's 9 years old bike kana liao.

me use my friend's car to jump start just now. scared will spoilt the batt.. hope its just the rectifier..

a orginal YP250 battery cost hnd plus think it's btn $120-140 but it normally last pretty long.....

ya,, original cost $140. i changed to yusa type.. $90-95. cheaper ma.. but guess its not the batt fault this time. hope that the batt can be saved..

u managed to get the correct size one? cos the original ones are Yuasa brand. not forgetting its good to get the same current voltage one. there is also the Yuasa ones from the Yuasa distributor. but its taller.

updates! tdy went to the shop n rectify. in the afternoon after charging up the batt. it can start le. then went down after work to strip it. use voltmeter to check any leakage of voltage.. but nothing leh.. use it to test the rectifier, coil but nothing leh.. went to test the batt n found there's a 1.5+current leaking. but dunoo where..

 

then unplug the socket of the rectify, the current drop 0.2 from 1.5+ to 1.3+

then the mechanic advise me to disconnect the IU n try to ride n see how.. if nothing wrong. means IU spoilt.. so its either the IU or the rectifier.

 

 

so what u guys think?

IU can't be drawing much power. So might be your rectifier.

Is it current drop or voltage drop?

 

1.5A = 20watts. I don't think the IU can draw 20 watts.

all bikes and cars have the same 12 volt. while charging with headlight switch off is less than 15 volt.

haha. can confirm its the rectifier prob liao. get them to tow. dun get your own tow. at least can fight for free tow.

they're just finding a way out not to waste their money doing up your bike. after all wat they wan is just sell the bike then f*** care.

Yeah bro.....12volt batteries comes in different ampere.

 

I remember when I was riding HD, my bike had a starting problem and battery always weak. Went to the mechanic, he just simply told me to go get the original battery from HD and after I fitted the batt, no more problem liao.

 

Definately need the right amount of current to run your bike.
