Guys, I need to get a pair of daily riding boots

I need one with

- waterproof

- hard toe cap

- basic angle protection

- preferably with a sense of fashion design (but if bo pian then plain black)

Anyone came across any boots with the above criteria ?

definitely squeeze-able.. and easier than viffer.. I THINK, cause i dun hav chance to squeeze thru traffic on a viffer.. but judging by the posture, fazer should have a better riding position to squeeze thru..

I have an FZ1S and a VFR, and although the Fazer has a more upright ergo and wider bar, the VFR is more squeeze-able as the gap between the bar ends and the underside of the mirrors fits perfectly between the side mirrors of saloon cars. MPVs, SUVs and vans will clip the mirrors.

Fazer although more manoeuvrable does not fit those gaps.

So, for me the VFR is the better squeeze. haha

Hi, SiaoSter,

Are you looking for FZ6N main-stand too??

Hi, pichudot,

I have to collect my ride first and see whether there is a main-stand or not.

I don't remember seeing one when I viewed the bike.

Thus, I am looking for a main-stand too.

If SiaoSter is also looking for a FZ6N main-stand, then how? Highest bidder gets it??

No, I don't wish to go into a bidding war and make an enemy instead of making another friend. :)

My heart is not strong enough to suffer another round of heart-ache. :)

Anyway, already collected my ride this afternoon, so nothing much I can do, except to enjoy the ride and get used to it for the next 1 - 2 weeks. :)

Thanks for the welcome...

I may end up being a "poser" riding a 600cc on SG roads, as due to family commitments, I may not be able to tour so often with you guys, etc...

Apologise for that in advance. :)

By the way, guys, can I ask??

For the pump-air valve of both tyres, did you all change them to the L-shaped type of valves for easy air-pumping?

If yes, where can I buy a pair of them??

Usually, I ask my mechanic to buy for me...

But recently, think they started charging very expensive for a pair...

I thot of sourcing them myself, get them and ask my mechanic to change the valves for me.

Thanks... :)

bro, for L-valve, do go for something reliable e.g bridgeport...

some monie cannot be saved de... safety is more important...

anyway, there are some L-valve that cost a few bucks, steel made de...

v scary... during one of our trip, one of us had experienced the scaryness...

the whole scary valve flew out and the whole tire was de-flatted in split seconds!

we thinks that it is due to inproper installation cus one of our bro had jus install it in a couple of days time...

All along, I have been using what the mechanic got for me and *touch wood*, they all worked well.

But now, think better still to your advice.

Do enlighten me where I can get such better quality L-valve.

I am looking for a larger top box too.

The so-called "free" top box that the bike shop gave too small...

I had to push in both my Nolan full-face and my wife's half-face before I can close the box.

My friend suggested to me to find a 2nd hand Hepco & Becker top box. He said a H&B top box will suit the FZ6N best... I also want, but the price a bit .... :)

Or should I just use a 48L Coocase which may not look as cool as a H&B top box?? :)
