Ya I mean topbox, no particular brand, it must look nice when fix up and can hold 2 full face helmet that's all.

 

Alarm... not too ex. and serve the purpose, btw did you have any alarm?

I saw the adv on the home page "ZMC" 118 for the spy 2 don't know ok anot.

 

My second day on this bike starting to enjoy riding the bike:D

 

hmmm... 2 full faces... i think h&b journey recon 52L or journey 50L should be good to accomodate 2 full faces... try checkout out the catalog in here... or, you would like to take a look at coocase too... i seen the video displayed in chiap lee, they kinda got some kind of auto electronic locking system for this... kinda looks cool...

 

alarm... cheap... go for SPY 2-way alarm via the ZMC MO lo... yes, it's that one in SBF forum MO page... the mechanic is quite experienced in fazers (after so many of us let him install)... wahahahaha... i would say, not bad la, for an alarm system to have... nevertheless, if u have no budget constrains, go for ultra good ones lo... hehehe...

hmmm is it the numbered named shop ba, right? alamak not balanced! better go either adjust it yourself or get them to re-adjust it, else on a long run, it's not good for your handling as well as tires as on a long run, the things are loaded to 1 side...

bro u noe I noe can't liao cannot mention so clear, don't feel like seeing their face, just abit high on one side, still can live with it, may be one ot two mth down the road will install two side box

Can anybody post their FC and their riding style.I got about 19km/l with 50/50 highway riding.Someone told me they could get up to 24km/l and i really find it unbelievable.By the way mine is a 2008 model abs.

hmmm... my FC is ard 19-21km/l, 60% hw with less or no jams/traffic lights in the 40%... ave rpm is 4k with full loaded 2x 40l side panniers...

 

to get 24km/l, i think that could be old uncle style of riding liao or it could be hw from west to east with low rpm... i guess...

 

wad's ya riding style how much is your mileage now?

interested in buying a set of Junior panniers first, then top box later on if i need the storage.

 

to install the panniers, will they use a multipurpose rack which can later on also just slot on the top box?

 

or will the panniers and top box each have their own separate rack, meaning if i wanna install all, i need to install 2 different types of rack?

 

also, if i buy 2nd hand top box, previously installed on a honda bike, will the rack fit on a fazer?

 

not sure if i'm stating my question clearly here.. haha..

Well for me,about 65% city riding and 35% HW.I change gear about 4K rpm,but once i hit HW,my RPM will be 5-5.5K(100km-110km/h)if HW traffic allow.My bike is almost stock except a arrow decat mid pipe and a givi topbox.

guys, just wondering if i cld get some feedback..

 

are the 40L junior panniers too wide for the fazer? (aesthetically wise)

they're like 30cm width compared to 22cm width for the 30L ones..

 

saw some photos with the junior flash panniers in racingter's wedding convoy photos..

but all side profile so couldnt really tell if they were 30 or 40L..

 

and i think the 30L ones cant fit helmets rite?

 

do most of u use the 40L ones?

 

also, any pictures of fazer with all 3 junior boxes mounted.. pannier + topbox..

havent seen any of that around so dunno how it will look..

 

also, for the junior flash, can the silver strip colour be changed easily? or have to order from overseas another colour strip..

hmmm... 40l not wide la... so far, all those fazers i knew and seen otr r all having 40l side panniers for h&b... but i ever seen a s4 with h&b 30l side pannier... for 30l, it's like the box shape without the cover width... and u can't put any helmet for wad i knew...

usually, if ppl buys 2 boxes (top & sides), they would only mount the top for SG rds cus they can squeeze thru traffic... seen quite a lot otr too... to see 3 boxes on SG rds is rare, which will usually occurs on tourings...

 

for the matt silver plastic in junior flash, according to chiap lee, they said it only comes in this color... if u wan other colors, u gonna take it out and re-spray it to your fav color... for me, i respray it to glossy silver as i tio scratches on both side on my 1st wk of the box installations... guess not used to it... hahaha! but now, everything's fine liao and i can squeeze thru tight traffic with ease too... hehehe...

a) if u have the intention of owning only the side panniers, go for the rack that only can accommodate side panniers... e.g. me and my signature picture...

 

b) if u have the intention of owning only the top box, go for the top box rack only lo...

 

c) if u have the intention of owning all 3 boxes! better get yourself a rack that can accomodate all these... so that in future if you wan to buy add-ons, u no need to change your rack and waste additional monies & time... time to get rid of the current rack and buy a new one... right?

H&B has 2 types of racks,

 

1) the top box rack - tis is for fitting the top box wif additional mounting pts to add the side racks if u wan to later on.

 

2) side box rack - tis rack onli accomodates the side panniers wif no provision to add the top rack .

 

Personally , i got the top box rack fitted on my fz1 as i had the intention to add side panniers soon.
