Im looking for a front windshield for my AT as it is cracked now. Im looking for after market windshield which can fit in my AT.

Please advice where can I buy one?

 

Another question I have is, after I change a bulb in my digital meter, it becomes all 8 digit and I cant set the digital meter. Any advice?

Hi Shaf, you can get the aftermarket windshield from Biketech 21 at dunlop street. If they dnt have stock, try m-technik at paya ubi 53.

 

If both sources dnt have then you have to order frm biketech. You have to be patient though. It may take awhile as in couple of months.

 

Else you can go to at-asia fb to shout out if anyone has a spare to sell.

Hi guys,

Just wana share my latest update on my Africa twin mod.

 

Recently my voltage charging was not stable, its intermittently low at 12.6V and sometimes it goes up to 13-14V with turn on of lights or horning. So i have decided that my rectifier needs a replacement(And not the OEM rectifier which gets hot and burns out quite easily)....so i went to ebay and bought myself a aftermarket MOSFET rectifier FH012AA. It cost about $170 plus shipment from EBAY.

 

Its pretty much an easy replacement, needed some wire stripping and crimping of wires and thats about it and it by-passes the existing OEM connector(OEM connector routes back to starter relay and then to the battery) and connects straight to the battery instead....so any corrosion over the starter relay would not affect the charging system.

 

Watch area is the alternator 3 phase wiring (3 yellow wires) its quite hot so try not to tape all three wires together. I have used wire tubes to separate the individual wires.

 

Charging stability is back....hovers at 14.6 v with no lights....14.3v with lights.

 

Try goggling it for reviews. I hope i don't have to change any rectifier anymore for at least the next 5 years.

 

3 years on new rectifier and still working good...but...one of the wire that connects to the connector melted down due to corrosion...so...i re soldered all the wires and cover with lithium based grease(To prevent corrosion) then heat shrink it.
