Theft rate of components (this time is headlight protectors levers & master pumps) & easy removal items has been on the rise these 2 mths again.

A month back Jln Membina. A few weeks back in Tampines. Now it struck Bishan. Riders who went to buy replacement reservoirs were heard as victims even from Sengkang, Tiong Bahru, Central, Clementi etc...More than a total of 20++ bikes have been victims.

All the bikes in the same MSCP have been struck. Even OEM components/stuffs are not spared. Lost items vary from $200~$1000.

Clean job, alarm did not sound, zero fingerprints, all bikes covers lifted & thrown away (believe to be getting rid of possible finger prints).

Tell your frens, riders, khakis. I went ard knocking the doors of the riders & left notes on their bikes.....

Take note of your babies lately guys....

Hope those who buy replacement, be more aware. May it be a private buyer of shops, it is believed it might be a syndicate having "runners" to get these parts for commercial use.

Thank You.

This just pissed me off. Why do we have such no lifers around? Can't afford then be it. Bunch of Nincompoops. Could it be done by the same guys? I believe so. Hope police have been informed.

Definitely not for their own use..Think they are exportin it out or sellin it in forums/shops..What we can do is to be on the lookout..Not for our own rides but other riders as well..:shades:

Wow, alarm did not sound? These guys must be pro's ? That's a swift job right there. Hope they don't spread islandwide.

I myself can remove the stolen components myself w/o sounding the alarm. Let alone the pros. Very clean job. from the 4 bikes I have seen with the parts stolen:

1. Bike cover opened & discarded.

2. Quick swift decisions. Got blockage, discard component to steal.

eg. those bikes very near the wall, all the components on that side were ALL NOT STOLEN

3. Clean job, no brake fluid somemore! sheesh!!

Police say it might be a mechanic or experienced person. I think so too. If not its a very DIY guy.

It is slowly spreading island wide as the places i mentioned varies from central/west to north now. My fen who went to get replacement of the components, met another guy buying the same similar components but for a different bike. After they exchanged words, both of them ARE THE VICTIMS of stolen parts, where was the victims 1 day after my fren.

I am sounding this off so we can try to reduce more victims.

Thank You.

nb.. this is getting out of hand.. actually bikers whom usually get home late in the night can help to keep a lookout. just call the police if u see anyone meddling with bikes late in the night. whether the bike belongs to him or not. just call if it belongs to him just let the police to verify. dont hesistate to call. ur call might just help to nab this low lifer bugger.

yeah how to protect?? hmm

2 days ago saw a blue van loitering at the car park below my house. It stayed very near the motorbike lots and was very peculiar. No one exited the van nor it was waiting for someone. after like 15 mins it left. Therefore if you see a blue van loitering around your hood give a police a call........

And yes i will keep a lookout too.

Farking low life b@stard thieves! I believe in karma, what they stole today will come back to haunt them! One day something important to them will be stolen, no, it won't be their bike parts. Their whole bike will be stolen, their gf will be stolen, their wife will be stolen, lastly they will lose their life in an accident crushed by a 5-ton.

which hood you in dude?

The following items were taken from my R1

1. Scotts Topmount Damper

2. Pazzo Brake/Clutch Levers

Please look out for people selling Scotts damper without proper mounting brackets

think someone gotta watch ebay too :goodluck:

Yo,

My R1 is parked in the same MSCP. I was the first person to notice the parts removed from my bike.

This is how the damper looks like without the mounting equipment.

This is how the levers look like...

We believe that there is an organised syndicate behind this spate of motorbike parts theft.

Hope the cops get a good ID off those fingerprints. Might be many prints there, depending on the various itchy fingers touching parked bike, whether in admiration, to mount, or to rip stuff off from.

But at least it's a start. I'm hoping the bastiges won't get to my brakes. Looks like I gotta start thinking of fabricating some kinda brake lever bolt protector... (similar to the suspension bolt protectors for the Super 4), if this trend keeps up.
