thanks for the comments...

engine breather is to dissipate heat build up when u r in a traffic jam or when u go JB then jam at customs... after installing, i did feel a bit of difference in the engine heat during traffic jams...

Yes breather hose is for a purpose.....but aren't it fixed at the wrong location?

Or this articles has more truth in it?

Question: I have seen a lot of people installing a pipe on the engine tranny cap (they change the nut to one with the pipe connected). It was said to let the engine to cool faster. Some also got put one filter at the end of the venting pipe. It is true fact? Answer: There is always a proper way to route the vent crank(if its so necessary). I have seen many attempted to route it via the WRONG WAY which is from where you pour in your oil to the tranny. Seen many strokers who does the same as to route some yellow pipe from the tranny cap to the rear of the bike and finish the job with a tiny K&N filter. Its a waste of time and waste of money. Rightfully, the logic of venting the crank is to relieve the pressure built up within the crankcase and hence you see many 4 strokes engine route a pipe from the crank vent (not the engine tranny cap) to the rear and attach the end of the pipe to a filter. WHY? if you are adventurous enough, you see that the vented hose actually emit gas and at the same time suck in the gas(due to vacuum). This is called a \"breather\" hose and this is wat they do. So in order not to suck in particles back into the engine, you place a filter elements to catch all these dirts and dust particles (same logic with air intake air filter) and this is why it is totally illogical and unnecessary to have it on Two Strokes machines. Plus you vent it thru your tranny cap, if you insist on doing so, you will probably observe a drop in tranny pressure and this is surely bad news because the red light which represent low oil pressure will start blinking and most of us will probably thinks that the oil level is too low and attempt to top up with additional oil and causes the engine to run sluggish due to too much inertial build up and increase drag, lost of power... and plus, too much oil in the tranny will cause your oil seal to ... you know the rest... So in a nut shell, you can live without venting the crank. If you want, do it the right way. As for two strokes, don't bother doing so. It might look trick but to some who knows the implication, it's a joke.

can someone guide me on this?

i have questions...

1) where is this crank vent? (not the tranny cap, right?)

2) to do it the right way, how to do it? (im confused)

thanks... :)

headlight cutoff switch... see attached pic... its under my ERP unit...

guys, i wana share and ask something. when engine is at idling, there is no charging. only when you rev throttle or travelling then there is charging.

can someone enlighten me?

for headlight of S4...if what i said above was correct...

in the morning when we cold start, sometimes engine will stall coz the headlight is drawing current from the batt and the charging system, causing it to stall. so the way to prevent stalling is to install a headlight switch so you can turn off your headlight when you cold start your bike.

can someone enlighten me again?

Ive bought Rjays side bag and just went to Seng Kwang to discuss about making a stainless bracket for it. Quoted $240 for both sides. Its those tubular metal that takes a shape of reounded edge square that AT(African Twin) uses. Is the price justified?
