1. when u engage 1st gear, release the clutch fully without throttle..

but the engine dun stall.. (extreme case)

2. when yr biting point is far, but when at gear 1 and clutch is depress, the bike seem to moving forward as if u hv release it..

3. when u feel that while riding up a slope, the rpm seem to be high.. but the corresponding speed for that gear is too low..

i think 1 of the symptoms is also if u feel if the engine hot, when u move off at gear 1, like no power, cant move, but got move abit, gear 3> then np.

1 clutch plate around 10$. that is if u go shop do. phantom got 5 clutch plate. so is 50$. + workmanship, maybe total around 90$.

guys, can i also check with u, if bike stationary on gear 1 but have difficulties engaging neutral gear as in the u tried very hard to kick up the gear lever but the gear simply won't go up. Push front abit engaged to second gear den from second gear need to step gently to go to neutral.

 

is this one of the symtoms to clutch plate issue or EO too much?

I think I could be having a clutch issue as well.

 

But funny thing is, normally when my bike is heated up.

 

If just start riding and bike temp is below 90, all is fine.

 

If not, it feels like the gear did not "bite". And if i rev higher, the rev sound is loud, but speed only about 50km/hr at 5th gear.

 

Is it the clutch fluid got air? bleed it? or release pressure of clutch? Or clutch done?

clutch plate's role is to transmit power from crankshaft to gearbox.

if its worn, it could not transmit power properly. .: Powerloss.

 

hard to change gear is not symptom of clutch plate being worn.

 

For sp, u can buy F.C.C japan clutch plates at chong aik, ect. one set $40-50

U can also change to harder springs to add some performance

 

For wet clutch, it share oil with gearbox.

wat happens if there is a knocking sound when staionary but when clutch in or rev the sound gone.. but few secs come bac again.. clutch in or rev gone again.. keeps repeating..

hmm i'm quite curious about this problem too as i myself also encountered it.. anybody have an answer to it? =)

too much eo will also cause this problem, i change my eo 3 times already the first time i over fillled and the changing of gears was very hard like u say.

Class2B>TP on 22 May -Passed

Class 3>TP on 11 March -Passed

Class 2A>? start by 2009 may 22

Class 4>? start by 2009
