These rpm gauges must tap from the coil.

Autogauge gauges are designed for cars. Meaning that the gauge is designed to run on either 4 or 6 cylinder engines. There should be a selector on the side opposite the face of the meter.

i checked no selector....haiz...donno how now...

aiyo u gt c ur left engine casing(if i nt wrong) gt 3 wires popin out? tat a current tester(those they use at audio shop)

start ur bike

test which wire gt light

rev ur bike

den c which wil get brighter

connect e wire which is use for readin the change in current(read the manual) from ur rpm meter to tat wire

tis is wat i did 2 my wave..should be e same for all small bikes..dun tink they made this meters 2 sense the spark plug cables... this is e way ppl use 2 install meters for cars.. no need cut sparkplug cable 1... dun tink any1 here tried doin tat wif their meters.. as for e meter, normally have 2 , 4 , 6 behind it(ttas wat my 5" meter states), ur reading will never b rite.. the needle will hit max rpm even at low rev..changin e switch behind will slow it dwn bt nt 2 the exact readin unless u get e meter which is meant for bikes(thailand made)

hope i m correct...
