Hi all, my MP3 is having problems with it's tilt lock.. The bike is able to start normally but it's unable to unlock the tilt lock.. The tilt lock alarm will continously sound when I try to unlock it.. Have to try it acouple of times, usually by turning on and off the bike and holding the tilt lock switch at the unlock position then maybe it'll unlock.. Any of you encountered this problem before..? Care to share.. Thanks..!

Ya, encountered it before. there's some problem with the tilt lock calipers(can't recall what's called)

But mine dont have alarm sound. just can't unlock.

so called PSC and they fix it, says it's a wear and tear thing. so far so good after the repair.

Hi Guys,

I just switched from a GSR 400 to a MP3 400, its been 8mths and bike is running well, but recently had an issue with my FI.

This the first time i have seen this issue, even when i rode my VTEC and GSR never encounter before.

When you turn on your bike there are two lights on the dash, RED oil pressure, and YELLOW Engine / FI, they would go off once engine is started.

 

But recently when i start my bike my idle rpm cant go up to the normal range it unstable untill i throtle it, then it stablize, and half way riding the YELLOW light turns on when im at low speed or stopped at traffic light, but when ride off it goes off, i read in the manual that its the FI light, but my bike is only 8mths old, and just did full service 3 mths ago, any idea whats wrong?

Hi MP3 riders, for those with engine stall problem. pls try using fuel injector cleaner. i tried it and so far after 2 months, problem solved.

it can be purchased from supermarkets at around $6-$7, red bottle, for petrol. just poured around 1/5 of the bottle.

Have a safe ride.

No problem, just to share, the brand is waxco, after 2-3 months, bike running super good, no engine stall problem any more. thanks to bike shop guy recommendation. he also mention, once a while pump shell v power to clean the injector.

If you have intention of taking your 2A, my advice is not to ride any auto bike until you pass your 2A, I am sweating blood now trying to pass my 2A because I'm too used to auto !! Just my 5 cents share :)

My MP3 IE 400 has a back rest can I install a top box without removing the rest. Any recommendation for a top box. The Piaggio 1 is ugly.

 

Hi there, nice to see another MP3 rider..! Welcome..! It's been quiet down here, hopefully that would stop.. As for your question, there's no way you can keep the backrest if you want to install a top box, as the top box bracket mounting is below the backrest.. Personally, I've been planning to get a Givi E55 Maxia 3.. Somehow I find that the box design and colours matches MP3.. But I've seen a previous owner using H&B top box, not so bad either..

Just got my MP3IE 400 today, just like some info from experience MP3 riders. Does the handle bar vibrate more than 2 wheeler cos I felt the vibration at slow speed. Could this be due to the tilting system or cos 3 wheel so vibration is more intense.

Anyone here fitted after market exhaust system on the MP3, was looking at the Akrapovic Exhuast look

pretty neat and nice, wonder how much it going to cost me? Any improvement to engine performance? Any rider care to share experience?

Yes, I improved my brandnew ride 125 ie which is grossly underpowered. Cannot wait for warranty to expire so I did the whole works using Malossi performance parts for $1.3k at 'scooter narcotics'.. Now at least it is a decent ride after all that money spent.
