Hi Wei..

u refering to the magazine picture i posted? iz a RUMOURED 06 version of the VFR 800 that will come with a detuned 1000--1200 cc V5 motor for sports-touring.

It could be a whole new model altogether, nobody knows for sure.

would like to enquire u guys regardin abt e headlights..

i haf change e bulbs to H4, then i haf tis problem after i wash my bike.

when i turn on e headlight switch, e normal beam wont light up.

i haf to press high beam den can come on wif high beam..

can anyone gif me any solutions?

thanks bros...

Try checking your switch unit on the left (easily opened up with 2 screws, philip size). Used to have this problem in my hurricane. Apparently is a 1/2 melted plastc and a contact. I changed it twice. $60 per piece each change!!

Yup... I am awaiting this sept/oct tokyo. This will decide my girls destiny after that. New bike V5? 1200cc? 1000cc? rumours everywhere. The latest I have is a german designer of the new VFR in sketches (just like those of the VteC VFR sketches last time).

Well the truth is out there....We will await the big H's announcement.

lao yang is right.. thats why i seldom change my OEM bulbs now...(except the phillips one.. they are really quality man) My bikeshop installed them. So dunt really knwo the wiring. but can always work out on the sport.. pretty easy

actually the OEM was designed for 12 35/60

with 35w low beam and 60 high beam

most bulbs available this days are 55/60

at 55W at low beam on most of the time..........there is about 9A of current running at the plastic set. 9A is very hot...thermoset plastic dun melt and reshape but they melt/burn.

then u get a spoilt switch.

i mod the headlight for 20 bucks. uses relay and resistor. u can install super bright white halogens......and i gurantee that ur headlight sockets and switch sets both wont spoil and u can run with both lights on
