i think the benefit of shorty lever is that u can use 2 fingers to pull clutch while using ur last 2 fingers to grip the handlebars. coz now i use 2 fingers to pull if completely in will squeeze my other 2 fingers. haha.

The goal is not to set a fastest lap, it is to eventually win the race.
