Good Day Force V4 members,

I hope you guys enjoyed your festive holidays and didn't get into trouble. (kidding). Ok, a little announcement.

First I would like to introduce to you Force V4 OCSG's commitee members which I have handpicked to facilitate our club for all future events and activities. As I said before, I alone cannot make the success of this club happen and what we need is a few good men (and women). So without further ado, allow me to introduce the members.

Shay - Victor

Filbert

DJ Absolute - Darren

Lacrimose - Lawrence

Ghost Rider77 -Sean

Daprei81 - Daphne

These commitee members have no titles or positions because I don't think its necessary. Rather, we are all to contribute to make this club an enjoyable place for V4 riders and beyond.

We have met (except Sean) and discussed the 31st December outing and decided that instead of a regular meetup which is going to be difficult because on that day, its going to be jammed and full everywhere.

I am proposing a meetup with makan. Actually we have two choices, either organise a BBQ or cater or order take out (Pizza, KFC). The idea is that since the last very successful meeting, a makan get together will foster the bonds of all the riders and get to know each other better.

DJabsolute has kindly offered the use of his premises at Hume Park condo. The place I reckon is a really nice poolside big enough to host more than 50 people. There is an underground carpark that can hold the same amount of bikes.

There will be small fee of $10 for the food as we do not have a fund going yet. Those who feel they can contribute with food or drinks please PM either me or DJabsolute. The other news is that I have invited the VFR Group and SBF Lady Riders as well so it should be quite a gathering. After the meeting and food, there will be riding time with a route I have planned.

Please do come, add your name below.

I think the "coolant" part u refer to is the Radiator like Moriwaki's bike right?

i think its like the "2 body" that u are refering to..or properly termed as chasis. Like i said..as long as the grounding points used has continuity with the bike's battery negative terminal cable end ( not on the battery itself!).... then in all electrical sense...it should work.

Way to verify continuity; use a multimeter (for heaven's sake switch to OHMs (?) setting) , put one end of the probe to the desired grounding point and the other probe to the battery negative terminal wire.

Some trick is required in measuring the terminal cable..... either get a crocodile clip to "kiap" the connections together or get a fren to hold the probe to the negative terminal cable (bare hands must not touch the probe's metal or the cable's terminal lug or you'll het extra ? readings)

if reading is = 0.01 ? --> 0.09? (the lesser the better) then the grounding point u chose is a verified true ground. anything more than 1? , forget it as it is termed as bad continuity in electrical bible.

For Heaven's sake! What the hell am i typing??!

Waz with all those weird (?) ?? How come nobody highlighted this to me ah? becoz no one bother to read Shay's educational post right?!

hehehehe......just kidding.

ANyhoo if some of you were wondering what the fish is all those (?)...they were suppose to be the universal symbol for OHMs (like a inverted 'U'), a unit for measuring electrical resistance. It turned out ok on the dialogue box i was typing in but funny cannot show on the main page. :sorry:

hey cool stuff u wrote there shay. i understood what u said. no one here has reflected the results.

no one has commented on the air box theory? 2000 models R1 used a similar system

hey dude..i commented on the Airbox theory liao...scroll further up to see.

But although i have no 1st hand experience in this, i think yes it will work very well on the track but it will oso make the bike extremely unridable on the street.

to shay, what makes u wanna say that? is it because of inconsistent wind to the air snout caused by vehicles at the front or the environment itself?

need a couple more helpful info from u guys?

the throttle cable would have to be carefully sealed. in rossi's bike, the cable comes out through the air snout. suggestion?

the carb vent tubes, do they remain inside the airbox or is it carefully sealed and breathed out?

also, pls suggest comments on this product. i have talked to a couple of bikers(cbrs and gsxrs) and they have installed a local version and diy version of it.

dun tink theres a need for relay to headlights.. maybe if u change to aftermarket horns like stebel, its advisable to use a relay.

one option is to add a CPU fan on top of the rectifier to keep it from frying

according to this website, they had a logical theory about the headlights. i am not sure which country this webpage is from, but considering our hot country, i have come across a few rvf's keep replacing their headlight switch. most of them end up putting a toggle switch, to switch off the entire headlight.

and the thing about cpu fan for rectifier, the wind blow to the rect to cool it or they suck and rad the heat? i mean wind direction

anyone got put fan at rad?

More on pick up (U will feel it right away), gain 1 horsepower, more smoother. In d sense of better throttle response...

More importance is, to extend ure life span of ure battery, rectifier n magnetic coil.

Hi kata!

what is the brand of the ground cables u are using? can it stand the engine compartment's heat?

i might be interested in this mod with all the good comments abt it!

hi guys...just like to share.

read abt the headlight s/w relay mod in 400greybike webby too.

But in my opinion it is not neccessary if your headlight switch is modded into the handlebar assy or if you just buy a complete new CBR left handlebar assembly (with the light s/w) at $80. It is usually those switches modded into the side fairing that get melted from high current and voltage arcs and oso blown headlights often.

For me, the mech actually took apart a old CBR's left handle assy and removed the internal circuity hardware and wiring and integrated it to my bike's handle switch assy. Very hardy..been using it for about 1 year ++ now, no problem without the relay.

I think Buzzbeam did a relay for his fairing mounted headlight s/w, also so far no problem. But i think his switch melted before once before he install the relay coupled with good thick wires.

Regarding the CPU fan mod.....i think its only neccessary if you are still using the old type of finless rectifier.

Been using the Fin rectiferis with metal plate heatsink for 1 and half years now..oso so far so good (touch wood) with no CPU fan.
