The valve clearance thingy pricing u ask till how liao?

 

I tomorrow going to bikeworkz to do liao. This ticking sounds have been going for mths and after reading the valve clearance stuff posted by redbeacon, i think better dont drag anymore.

 

And also response abit slow + after 110km, abit hard to go higher. need throttle alot. -.-"

yup. tick tick tick tick. ........ start bike can hear liao. when move off cannot hear coz engine louder than that sound.

 

I also dunno one until that time meet nelson at dam then he hear my bike, he told me that clicking sound of mine mean need to do valve clearance liao.

all honda bike need to change de leh. cos honda is famous of spolit in rectflier. and once u change rectflier, u need to change battery as well. not only rvf need to change rectflier de lo. s4, cbr all oso need to change ard 1yr :giddy:

Not all honda bikes have this particular prob. Only that batch which had the part replaced with warranty.

Long time nev been here already. Guess there's a lot of new blood running in the thread. Not much of the lao jiao ard too.

Regarding the topic on voltage:

 

I suggest to use only 1 bulb for normal riding (unless you are on the dark roads of Malaysia). Just unplug the connector for 1 bulb. Reason being that most likely your bulbs are aftermarket H4 and not the Honda Original I4 bulbs.

 

RVF electrical system is designed based on I4 bulbs which has a much lower power rating (35W) at low beam. H4 bulb have rating (55W) at low beam. Simple maths will tell you that the power drawn to light up 1 x H4 bulb = 2 x I4 bulbs. Prolonged use of both H4 bulbs not good for your electrics.

 

Previously I was on 1 bulb and there was no problem with my battery, rectifier etc. The old rectifier was used by the previous owner (my friend) for 1 year before I took over the bike. I rode for another year with healthy electrics.

 

Just my 2 cents.

 

** CBR400 are also supposed to come with I4 bulbs, which explains the similarity in electrical problem.
