If you are interested in Valkyrie Rune, I'd suggest to check with Boon Siew. They've imported few of those some time last year. Not sure though if bikes stayed in S'pore or got re-exported elsewhere.

Be prepared, this beauty doesn't come cheap.

I've tryed sitting position on one of USA bike shop displays, doesn't feel comfy at all, hands bit streched too far to the front while foot pegs are alright. Never got a chance to try it on the road, but considering sitting position I dont think it will make a good tourer or even city rider.

my two cents worth.

Any local owner to comment?

i think some how the tanks is abit too long... does it feels like the harley v-rod... It's definately a head turner if u ever own 1 on this island.

who know when u park beside a harley along an orchard road traffic light more heads will turn coz of ur bike than e harley... n maybe the harley owner will ask u wat bike r u riding.... haha...

never the less the suzuki boulevard m109 cruiser is definately another head turner...

if u have the money which 1 would u choose... die die have to choose 1... haha... for me i will go for the suzuki, looks more cyber n futurestic too me... it's a cool ride...!

Hi Snowman,

Not sure how accurate you gotten your information from, but before I did a similar enquiry sometime in October last year at Boon Siew both with the mechanic and sale manager, they have never bought in the Honda Valkyrie Rune and never would as there is no market demand. Inside information also claimed that this model was never send in to LTA for inspection thus, you could forget about looking for the owner locally.

Hi nguyenht,

Apparently, some shops I visited claimed they are looking into bringing M109 Suzuki Boulevard into our local shore, but still uncertainty due to market demand. Let just wait and see. For information, the previous affiliate model Suzuki Boulevard C50 in green was spotted on our local road thrice in Sungei Road, Rochor Road and Holland Village. This model certainly look massive and sound right, owner is of a middle age person.

Hey Nights,

I see - you must be right since you've spoken directly to Boon Siew staff. My info doesn't come from 1st hands, so must be considered with a grain of salt. Thanks for updating us! :thumb:

If we are talking about GHC Suzuki Agent located near CSC, then nope. I spoken to the boss once before and his replies is of no demand in the market for metric cruiser thus, 125cc Marauder is the best we could find at GHC. 800cc Marauder was spotted at Universal though and 400cc Boulevard at Loois. I believe C50 was import by another shop.

Just curious...

Could we just go to one of the Suzuki/Honda importers and say "I want that. Please contact your supplier and import one for me."? Obviously, there are more overhead costs involved - like LTA testing, shipping costs, etc. Is this possible, and if so, is the additional cost prohibitive? If other people can import cars from overseas, then motorcycles should be the same. Right?

today i was reading a mag called 'two' in MPH... not sure which month issue was it... but they r actually featuring the Suzuki MT1800... at the 1st glance it looks like the M109 wonder r they the same but named differently due to different regions?...

Another magzine did say that the e new Suzuki GSR600 is using the GSX-R600K4 (can't remember is K4 or K5) engine, it actually say its kinda of struggling with the new EURO III standard... can't remember wat's actually EURO III standard... still doing some reading up...

I think it is the same. the "109" is the cubic inches engine displacement which is the equivalent of 1783cc .. so 1800 is right in Marketing Speak.

It does look the same, but I see it online also as Suzuki Intruder M1800R. A google search for that reveals mostly German and French sites. so perhaps that is the name for the European market.

Boulevard = Intruder?

The main frame are mainly from Softtail, Vrod and aftermarket.

The builder is not American, is from Germany. :help:

There's a Valkyrie Rune on display on the 2nd floor in Mah. Boy, this thing is huge! And I believe it will be quite a head turner on the road.

Are you sure about it? I would love to drop by Mah and drool on this beautiful art piece! By the way, those who are keen with Suzuki M109, it is available at Loois Motor.

Cheers!

From what Mr Lee (looi's) mentioned, its in his warehouse. He has no intention of selling it locally unless someone really wants it. He is mainly exporting it. I think he mentioned something about an angmo who actually bought the boulevard 1800 recently and is on the road in sgp now.

Yes! Its at Mah Pte Ltd! Priced at a whopping SGD$60,000! Its black in colour.

Frankly, I'll not pay that much for it. Its more of a boulevard bike. Not very suitable for touring as it'll not look nice with saddlebags .. and to some err .. @##$%^ better not say, backbox! And its a single seater!

So any rich ones out there wanna put this beast on the Singapore roads? Malaysia already has one ... in Penang if I am not mistaken.

Anyhoo ... hopefully with time it'll drop in price. But its very nice .. very nice .... very nice ....err .. very nice :)

have bike will travel . . . . .

I can not find any piece of this bike in Loos.

Are they sold out?
