Seriously use thin tyres for what?Everyday Jackpot 180kmh above??For those using original Japan/Continental bikes its advisable not to do major repair there.Experience told me everything.At first glance the cost is major attraction but for long term you'll lsuffer.My friend Super 4 and KRR always do stuff there till one fine day their bike broke down.To add salt to injury one of the shop in SG opened up the engine to find that nearly all of its part are low quality products which tend to wear off faster.My Japan RXZ ardy suffer,When my mech opened up the block,The 2 long screw bush already gone case which explain why the gaskets always leak..Clutch housing are loose(dONE BY JB Mech),Local Taiwan con rod(Tend to loose) etc..So yesterday i spend nearly 260 bucks servicing and replace the worn parts with original Yamaha parts which cost a bomb.

Debted? It's "dented". In the first place, rim and tire setup like this are not supposed to be ridden on roads with humps.

 

ah long ? ya he used to work for houheng , been going their shop at start till now ~ tried other workshop pple told me that was good. but go there alone thn kanna scam gaogao. Thn in e end went back to ahlong @ houheng. So far so good

 

Yes he used to work in SG as a mechanic too. During my days he was riding a red SG plated RXZ before switching to a Spark. Met him/Along when he worked @ Hou Heng the one on top, after that he went to the other Hou Heng the one located below. Now am not sure where he is. All i know and hear is he is quite a reputable mech.

i think price is the concern ... and i dun think many will keep thier bikes longer then 2 years..

so inferior parts or not ..well..

thast why inside is popular ma...

Got chopped alot there back in the day. Original/high quality parts is still the best even if they cost a bomb.

As for myself i dun mind using local/low quality external cosmetic stuffs but no-no for engine parts and tyres.I dun really mind use local coverset,Lights,Rims,Sprockets/chain.But for internal parts suchs as crankshaft bearings,con-rod,piston,gaskets i'm fussy.Even spark plug has to be ori NGK Japan.Got a friend who own a Yamaha TZR250 and still going strong.He always buy parts from Auto Machinery/Ban Hoe Leong and paid labour to his mech for replace n repair
