btw, is the ducati urs? :cheeky:

Yeah the ducati is doing great, not enough seat time though...

just changed to the Polini variator on my Sportcity and the acceleration seems slower than standard (kinda like need more revs to get the same acceleration)...so sad, thought that it would really speed up the pickup.

Sorry Guys THE ORIGINAL GOLD is no longer suitable for display

I just bought an aprilia sportcity!! My friends are all against it, say aprilia parts are very ex, then give alot of problems also, but I loved it at first sight, so without hesitation I bought it...=P Does it have any major or minor problems after riding for a few months? Although it's kinda late to get comments now, but I haven collected the bike yet so hope to hear some comments on it to see if I made a right choice...=)

Hi guys.

Sad to say that I'm selling off my Sportcity after riding it for just only a year plus. Upgrading to car. Will be posting here soon.

I'm gonna miss my ride. It's a good scoot. I have no complains about it. But situation doesn't allow me to do so.

Hope that u guys continue riding this bike.

Hi fellow Sportcity riders,

Have anyone of you changed the rear tyre of your Sportcity yet? If yes, do you managed to find rear tyres of the same size (130/80-15)? If not, what size and model do you use?

I need to change my tyre soon. Been scouting around during the past weekend, seems like no one manufacture tyres of this size (130/80-15).

I am quite reluctant to change my rear to a smaller tyre nor a bigger one. I may consider importing one from AF1.com if I am still unable to find one.

Any comments?

Best regards,

Hi DRK,

Yes. I had replaced my rear tyre.

As I was unable to find a suitable rear tyre, I used the same tyre as my front (Maxxis 120/70-15).

Thanks.

Hi sportcity entusiasts!

I've just bought a 2nd hand black colour SC and I was thinking to change its colour to pearl white (front part, front mudguard and sides at the back) the rest remain black. Can anyone recomend a good and reasonable place for that???

Cheers,

Hi E'vrybody,

I've just bought a SportsCity 200 and reading more about it in the maintenance manual I've printed from the Net.

This is my first auto two-wheeler, so I initially had problems adjusting to the left-hand rear brake lever cos I frequently use the clutch to control my bike while riding, but I'm getting the hang of it.

And also, fortunately for me, the previous owner has changed to a kevlar belt and hopefully it'll last 15k km. I'm also looking forward to get a new coat of paint.

Therefore, I would appreciate help concerning information about reputable workshops to service/repair/paint the SC; and also spare parts dealers where I can purchase minor servicing items like air/oil filters, hoses, etc.

It's an excellent and comfortable scooter with a silent engine tone and very good ride characteristics. I rode around S'pore exploring Mandai for half-a-day without much discomfort. It would be uncomfortable riding that long on my PX150E. I can say that, at speeds from 0 - 80kph, the SC is the plushest and most relaxing two-wheeler I've ever owned.

Cheers and safe-riding. :)
