it came ON at 1000km and now stays ON all the time. It is supposed to indicate that service is due according to the manual but me service liao still ON leh.

will check w the mechanic.. hope can give u an ans by then

Hi, its been quite a while since i post in this forum....

 

I have tried using Shell Advance Ultra 4 fully synthetic 4-stroke motorcycle engine oil and have to comment that the performance of my bike increase a lot.

 

However, I do want to try out some modifications to increase my bike performance and lesser fuel consumption. You guys may want to give your advice and share it here....

so sad but recently i spotted quite a few sportcity riders on the road... so feel bit more relieved.. hehe

btw regarding the spanner thingy tat appear on our speedometer there.

was told tat the bike is pre-programmed to servicing every 6 thousands.. hence it will appears something when mileage is close to tat... in order to have the spanner icon gone, have to go to your mechanic... to get it reset back.

Been considering to buy the sportcity but i have a few concerns.

 

How much does a brand new one cost OTR?

 

Any recommended shops?

 

What is the distance covered before the fuel reaches reserve?

 

Will servicing be difficult to find? Any shops can do?

 

Hope to hear from you guys real soon. Who knows i would be riding one in future.

yay, neo how to turn off the service icon oredi...

 

turn ignition On, on odometer screen hold mode button while turning ignition Off and then On again and presto, service icon disappears.

Hmm fuel consumption is abt 30-33km/hr, usually i can travel up till min 200km and still left last bar.. before hitting reserve. there will be reserve tank light indicator on the panel so not too worry.

 

Price: subjective as it depends on ur age as insurance varies. for me, my OTR is 8.3k inclusive of my number plate which i paid 300 for it.

but machine price shd be relatively lower than the time i bought it.. now shd be ard 5.8 to 6.3 plus plus ba... this u have to check w the outlets.

 

i got mine from MAH... they r the main distributor... MAH agencies oso carries.. but all under same boss so i think doesnt really matters.. but u may wan ask the rest who may got it from elsewhere...

 

servicing i usually get it done at MAH Pte Ltd, but think future scootering, n wonderful *** i cant recall the name at upper serangoon area r capable of doing it. so not to worry too much on it.

 

i guess tat abt all, hope i clarifies some of ur doubts... =)

muz get rid off the Spanner Logo lah, very iritating especially after you have oredi serviced it. It wis programmed to come ON at 1000km at 6000km and every 6000km after that.

 

My dad said the sportcity looks very"girly" so now I'm in the process of making it more sporty by sticking lots of sticker...Haha

Went to Mah motors yesterday and the salesperson there was quite nice and helpful. After much consideration, decided to get it. Thanks to those who have helped at this forum. Bike would be ready this Saturday.

 

Anyway, any recommendations on accessories? Any particular shop?

hi sparkplug... issit ur new sportcity u saw at MAH that is silver one that is park behind SYM... n issit ur COE already bid le... n ur plate no. is FBB 1690 S ?? if its so how much u get for that...???
