V-Strom (650cc & 1000cc)

but hor, i wanna ask if the 'V-STROM' sticker on the side is a normal stick or a pop-up one?

cos LEE told mi that only the L0 models come with 'pop-up' V-Strom stickers, that's Y i'm not that conviced.

The year of suzuki bikes was always known as k followed by the last digit of the year. e.g. K7 = year 2007 bikes.

 

So after K9, Suzuki use the next alphabet which is L & 0 to represent the last digit of 2010.

if i'm correct, we all know the year 2000 is also known as Y2K.

so bikes manufacture after Y2K (eg 2001 as k1, 2002 as k2 . . . . .), & now it reaches the 2009 as K9.

 

After the ap 'K' , 'L' is next thus 2010 will be address as L0.

ahhhh i see the confusion now ... go find sean ...looi son in law and ask him to show you the vehical registration when imported to singapore it should clear the aussie version and the euro version

yeah lollypop bro... i think the different between k9 L0 is just the colour only from what i compare the spec. both spec and design are the same....

TO be frank....... Suzukis don't change the V Strom that much for the exterior over the years (2002-2004, 2004-2008,2008-present(for DL 650)).

 

Externally it looks the same.... lol

Take khaikanu as a fine example. He bought the bike w/o knowing wic yr model it was and was pleasantly surprised today to find out his is a L0 model.

 

If i were in your shoes, i will nvr think twice/thrice about this, but instead juz head down to Loois first thing tmw or during lunch to sign the papers.

 

He who waits will regret not buying the Strom any sooner.

Apart from that, your bike performs fine.....

It does not look like the stock hand guard? Is it Bark Burster Storm, Sw Motech or some other Handquard? Does it comes with the metal covering the edge of the handle bar?

You are right, the handguards are from BMW and its fully plastic except the bolt & nuts set. if you look closely, it's attached with a plastic wind/object deflector on the top. it's also from BMW.

Oh, u checked out the pics from the blog huh.She gave me the link but i have not checked it out yet.

 

1 of the things learned from her trip. Always tighten all bolt and nuts (Especially side-stand!!) before any long trips! The side-stand bolt and nut connecting it to the spring decided to find itself a new home along NSH. She fd it out the hard way when refueling in southern TH.
