Was browsing for CB1300 and got hold of this pic.... wonder what head is that? And is there a way to get those in SG? I was looking for a paintwork... till now havent got any idea... guess have to take out color pencils do it myself :(

 

just to check with you all. spec 3 last gear if you running at 100km/h whats your rpm ? thinking that maybe i can't engage my last gear too..

the engine looks like of the Bol'dor... the inverted fork is sweeeet~ but the the seat with no tail looks kinda ugly thou.... like Gilera DnA and Cagiva Planet...

bro.. may i ask where did u get your rectangular mirrors for $20? that's a very good deal.

 

U try check wif karmatrix..... He sells it for a mass order.... Hopefully he still have it....

 

$20 for 1 pair....

 

But wif karmatrix u can get $30 for 2 pairs if im not wrong...

 

U can also look for winim.... He is selling it away....

guys,anione here using shrouds?can post pics of it?nid to focus on where to screw the metal to at the carb area?

Shrouds? XR400 shrouds? Scrambler's shrouds?

 

I personally tink its not nice... N sure to hv a lot of vibrations..... :angel:

Not really. Different people have different kind of taste. If someone wanted the bike to look a little StreetFighter they kindda like it. For me... my leg is long n twice my leg had burn due to my knees hit the top block. Also Personally i believe it's nice. It's a normal bracket they bend it... somewhere near carb. Actually anybike shop can do it... maybe $10? I don't know... i bough it + fix $130...

Is it? U got burn on ur legs? U mean u can feel the hotness of the carbs side or the block caskets side?

Iginition timing is the timing the sparkplug fires when the piston is in power stroke and before top dead center(TDC).(The highest point the piston reach before going back down to the lowest positin[bDC]). As we know the one revolution of the crankshaft is 360degrees.

 

On an engine the sparkplug fires just about a 10-20 degrees(depends on engine design) before the piston hits TDC. However this changes when the engine runs at higher speed its more faster eg (5-10degrees).

 

Okay here comes the advance and retard timing and the advantages.

For an engine with recommended 6 degrees BTDC ( Before Top Dead Centre ) timing and 93 octane fuel, retarding the spark 4 degrees lowers the octane requirement to 91, whereas advancing it 8 degrees requires 96 octane fuel.

 

In simple terms,advancing the timing provides better mid to high range rpms in expense you need higher octane fuel to reduce knocking in low rpms.

 

While retarding the timing gives better low to mid range but and you can use lesser octane fuel.

Yep,happens to me too while i'm in class. Took me few months playing around with engines during my course just to understand the theory.:cheeky:

 

Oh ya forget to mention what happens if the timing is too advance,it causes piston meltdown due to detonation.

It seems tat vtec 3 only hv 2nd hand... 1st hand is Revo...

 

Btw... S4 bike got gear 5 n 6 hah?

 

Kind a first time hear lehh..

 

I hv seen a new vtec 3 in Looi two months ago and enquired on the price.....quite high due to no more production...it should be there still...check it out...

hmm... 95km/h is 6000rpm... so estimated 100kmh is abt 6200rpm lorr..
