INTEREST CHECK

North Thailand Trip

wil go the loop at least to chiang mai, mai hong san, chiang rai, and if have time, round back from Isan to Pattani and Betong

 

Date : Jan 2010 (TBC), any week is fine

Day : 14 days, need to apply 2 weeks leave

Total distance : 9000km

Time to meet : TBC

Place to meet : GP Petronas

This is not a joke... although the plan is early as some may say, it is at least for ur proper planning if u have the heart to join...

 

Else, I wil go solo...

haha... 14days mean my entire year of annual leaves gone... :D

 

maybe after my studies, then got more leaves to spare. Hope u guys still into touring then... so currently at most can go 1~3 days max(include weekend)....

Total distance : 1600km

Time to meet : 8 Aug, 4am

Place to meet : GP Petronas

Condition : Must be at least to travel 110kmh

if the rider think he can go, noone can stop him... just like vidak... P-plate also can go ksm... if got fall then stand again lo... :angel:

 

but most impt is, know the bike n ownself limit, dun over stretch the fun...

Not all falls can stand up after that.

 

The problem is some have no idea about what's their limit.

agree with you especially when curiosity overkills the ability to stay within each's limit .... in short if 1 out of the pack is down, the entire team had to rescue him & the entire plan might be affected ....

actually i m quite against the idea of taking Vidak (P-plater) as a "role model" to travel up north .... in his case, luck was on his side .... if mishaps were to happen then, does he have the resources, knowledge or proper tools to regain the expedition? But here again, the choice is still ultimately his ...... juz my 2cents of opinion .....

well, I always proud of him as "role model", and abt his good spirit. And let's not go n point finger at any individual... u r not him, its not fair for u to judge his skill, or "luck".

 

and i always dun take the P-plate as a judging tool whether a person can go touring not... ultimately its the rider skill and most impt his spirit to go...

 

i have seen many class 2 riders, the most their bike is in SG soil... and comparing a cl2 rider who always in SG, or a cl2b rider who always go north, I dun see the cl2b rider is anyway inferior skill than a cl2 rider...

 

so can u tell me, need how many yrs of licence to "qualify" for touring?

 

and again, if mischap happen, for sure I wil have resource to repair or ship back the bike... again I dun have to tel u how, those with me they know how I handle their things...

 

in KSM we hv encountered many many issues, and was solved together. If merely forever sit down in SG we can never learn anything.

 

perhaps u shld ride up north with us one day n experience the brotherhood together :thumb:
