hi there,

wish to ask do u know what is the procedure to get thru the thai custom to betong?

where to obtain the thailand white card?

need to pay any fees when chop passport?

If no logcard for new bike, is the register new vehicle letter printed at LTA the same? any other documents required?

heard need to prepare some RM$1 notes at each counter? how many for each bike or each person?

pls advice! thank you so much!

pls advise! thanks!

Hi,

White card is always available at the counter or paid service desk.

Fee is RM2 (at certain time, certain time free)

As long as the vehicle is under your name, no worry, if not you need a letter from the owner. Import paper fee is RM2 at Betong (Free at Danok, RM10 at Wang Prachan)

Hope this helps....

like what razin aka chapkudaterbang state its the correct procedure. logcard printed at LTA website acceptable but u must be the owner of the vehicle, if not a consent letter from the owner which must state your name, id no and bike no. allows u to ride the bike into thailand. stby more rm1.00 notes

Wang Prachan is at Satun, Malaysia side is Wang Klian....last April I came out there and told the Thai custom officer that I am going to Betong, he simply said, 'hand over the import paper at Betong' and I smile :)

btw, only Thai handphone lines can be used there.

If you have only SG phones... that's where you can 'disappear' for a few days uncontactable.

Best for ppl who don't want to be tracked by 'you know who'.

m thinking of going thailand.

btwn Betong and Rantau Panjang(Kelantan/Golok), which would be a better option,

in terms of distance and time travel?

Cheers
