Hi

I think there is an misunderstanding here. My reply seem innocent enough to me. By the very fact I bothered to PM you shows that I am trying to get things done. Or by this post. Things often get distorted by text, which is always why I say I would like to meet you. This disscussion does not seem to be going anywhere. Ask tashi or bktan, and they can tell you the level of commitment to our customers.

When I posted te questions ,you never wanted to answer me,and now you are throwing it back at me,That not a very good thing to do..I guess its getting out of context and and am sad to say, althought I do love my Atlantic, but I guess this will be my first and last bike that I will purchase from your company. To what I see there is no standard sets of operating rules/procedure,you are basically using the customers words to hit back at them, and furthermore you are doing it from behind whereby others cant see except me,so I would appreciate it very much that if you were to want to answer my post, kindly do it where everyone else can see,and not doing it in the sly.........Such a disappointment.I thought that you were better than that, then again I may be wrong.... so please excuse me for my ignorance.

This was ziggyray's last reply me. It seems a shame when I was just answering his question. Maybe the phrasing was wrong. It seems a mistake to be trying to find out and rectify problems on the forum. The Aprilia meet and greet session will still go on sometime in May. I am quite amused to find out that to PM someone is considered doing something "on the sly".

Is that a joke or a statement?Does it really need to take such a long time to come out with such a lame excuse? If want have transpired here can be constitute as a commitment on your part, like you have said,I am sure I have made the right statement..

Well since you day that you are starting to answer my questions,Please don't let it stop, keep the answers flowing ,and answer the rest of my questions.......

There is one thing that I would totally agree with you,and that is things are going no where. But as to your sense of Commitment to your customers,my stands still remains......You are the person that dictates what goes on in your company not me.......So please do not quote " As you have Said"........Innocent? Try Harder....I see it as a pointless attempts to resolve things....after all,who am I ,I am just a small fry,who only buys a small scooter from your Big Company....

Lau eh, very upset to see this issue keep going on.

There is no sincerity felt here at all.

Just my opinion, hope both parties dont get me wrong...

To Mah's representative;

A customer is always a customer, and customer is always KING. Dont expect them to understand your difficulties. To show your real commitment, fix a date ASAP to deal with the current issues/claims rather to wait until MAY. The more you try to explain the more it gets dirty. I believe you won't want to involve CASE or medias to step in.

To Aprilia owners(scooter owners in this case);

Do focus on case by case claims instead of overall. Try to arrange among all the Atlantic owners here, fix a date that is agreed by all owners and Mah's representative, make a trip to Mah and rectify all problems/complains at one go. Even those cant be rectify within a day still gets a date. All of you still owning the scooters/bikes, you do not wish to sour the relationship with the existing agent, or eventually remove them, right? Who will be at the losing end if NO local agent is appointed locally? You, the Aprilia owners...

So I hope both parties try to give each other a chance to solve this simple issue at a more peaceful way.

And I hope MAH Pte Ltd must act fast to convince the current owners/future owners at a more appropriate solution for this issue.

Just my 2 cents.

Well,I couls see your point and I could agree with you,but as far I am not concerned,And I would like to stressed that ,Now This sentence I am only speaks for myself. This will be my first and Last Aprilia,as long as Mah Pte is holding on to the dealership......or any other that I am only be able to get from them...there are so many motor shop in singapore and Mah is not the only one,so whether or not they want to organise anything, seriously,I am not interested in it....And to those who have unresovled issues,I am very sorry ,I dont think I am of much help to you guys.....

You can't really say there's no sincerity. If so, then Mah wouldn't have stepped in.

From the time I read Ziggy's post, there seemed to be a lot of anger. The questions directed to Mah seeemd to have a ... high energy tone.

I may have interpreted his posts incorrectly, that is why if I were Mah, I would also settle the case out of the forum, in case more misinterpretations arise.

If this has to wait till May, then May it is. I don’t think they would want to drag this any longer than neccessary. Parts will take time to be shipped over, back and forth communication, paper work ... these things take time.

An oil change on my bike takes probably 30 mins, but I had to leave it there for hours sometimes. There are other bikes there that came 1st, engine needs to cool down ... I don’t go there and demand my bike be ready in an hour’s time.

When I bought my 1st bike from them, I was told I had 3 free services. I didn’t know I had to pay for oil and filter myself. I never got coupons. I got all the wrong ideas from the salesman, but I did feedback, and they have improved.

Hi

I have tried to solve this problem amicably. Let me explain.

1) I have tried on numerous occasions to ask him to come down to our showroom.

2) I have offered to change his mirror for him, as it is still under warranty.

3) I have offered to show him the directive from Aprilia stating labour charges.

Now, I have been very patient and have offered everything to solve this problem. Do we all agree if his bike doesn't come down, I cannot do anything? How am I going to replace his mirrors? Or show him the directive from Aprilia?

But I made a mistake. I did not pull up his record until just now. Now I realise why Ziggyray is so hostile and refuses to come down to my showroom, to the extent he is afraid he will be "hoodwinked", in his words.

Ziggyray has been to my workshop only once, at a mileage of 964km on the 7th of July 2003. And to date, he has not paid any labour charges. Funny he should be making a big fuss about something he has not paid a cent for?

To Ziggyray, are you the owner of this bike or the addrider? Who is paying for the instalments? Do you know that our repossesion lorries are looking for your bike?

To the rest of the Aprilia riders, we WILL solve your problems. Give us a call, make an appoinment and we will do what we have promised.

He accused me of doing it "on the sly", but out of respect for him, I PM him. But he pulled me back onto the public forum. This is not a dispute, and I wanted to settle it privately, but I was told to talk to him in full view of everyone. Thus so. I believe I have done everything I can to protect both his and my company's dignity. Let this end here.

Hostile?am I?If you were to read that postings correctly, you will see that its not all about the labour charges, and Yes I didnt pay for the labour charges, but dont you agree that there are discrepancies ?There are other issues to itBut if you are just going to use that ,than so be it.I really see no point in arguing over it.It 's not going to be solved. Not need to waylaid others into thinking that I am the one trying to create a scene here.I shall not say anything and those of them who rides the Aprilia, will go to you and solve whatever problems they have .I did pay my dues ,and I will continue to pay them For as long As I am riding it...

So what happened for those who bought Aprilia scooters last year March and but only found out the "warranty" recently.

Do they get their warranty extend ?

Hi

Atlantic_200, when you come, please claim your warranty booklet. It will explain your queries. As for those who just found out about your warranty, does it make a difference whether you knew it earlier or not? Warranty is basically a protection for consumers against manufacturers defects. Should any of you encounter such problems, please bring it up to us and we will rectify it. If you have been using it the past year without any major problems, it means that the bike is good and well, which is good. It is hard to explain what is warranty. It is solely at the discretion of Aprilia, not us. In fact, servicing your bike at a workshop that is not an Aprilia authorised workshop will void your warranty. However, we try to be flexible on that.

For those who want to, please visit our workshop office, and we will give you the warranty booklet.

Mr Mah,

Its not my business to bother about how you carry out your business but you're posting in this forum(i.e a place for discussion) and therefore I need to say my piece.

I think it IS IMPORTANT for the owners to know about the warrantee period and also what is under warrantee UPON PURCHASE. I'm appalled by your "whats the big deal if you know it now" attitude here. Really appalled. :nono:

And it is the responsibility for your shop to explain this "It is hard to explain what is warranty. It is solely at the discretion of Aprilia, not us." to the customer UPON PURCHASE. Manufacturing defects are DEFINITELY catagorised as Warrantee. No two ways about it. Manufacturing defects can include PREMATURE FAILURE of a part. Case to point here is the Side mirror which you have taken care of.

I'd suggest that you should stop posting here to prevent further aggravating your customers as obviously all new Aprillias belongs to you.

Regards,

edwinT

wow didn't know this thread was so alive and so heated.

I won't say who's right/wrong in this thread, but i wld like to say my experience with Mah had been quite convincing and gladly ended happily in the end, although it didn't start off well.

So i would only suggest ziggy to go down to talk to our Mr Mah here personally or maybe even meet him over at a neutral mcdonalds to talk it out if ur uncomfortable with his office. There's no point in lashing to each other over a public forum, i think it is very damaging to both parties to do so. And when that is done, you guys can report the resolution on this forum, more constructive i tihnk.

Every company wants to do business and every customer wants to only pay for what it is worth. But in my opinion all things can be resolved some way or another, so ziggy go down and talk to the guy, he's quite a nice chap, seriosuly.

i think tashi can back me up on this :)

Better to be loved, than to hate...

do not worry bktan bro...

u can trust them to be adults.

Mr Mah, hope you will not feel in any levels or pressure or anguish in the forum. This is a forum which all of us pour out our feelings and problems, if not good views and comments on any bikes, any bike shops or any incidents regarding both.

Since you represents the Mah Motors, naturally you are the target of many bikes bought from you. If Piaggio Asia came in here, we would like to shoot them down with questions too. Hope you understand. I knew Ziggy as a fren and i believe he does not meant any harm in his words. He is however, showing his usual sincere frankness and would very much like us, loved to have his questions answered.

alls well ends well :D
