wow , fantastic , they use PG for Moto GP those days , really nice to know that we can use the same track Tks KISS, I am chris use the VFR with high mount , we met once , now using the SP 1 VTR

 

It was exciting then in 1998 coz I was racing at PG back then in 1997 and 1998... and were practising at PG "off-season" in Dec 97 and the PG staff told us they were using the PG track for the 1998 round as Shah Alam was closed. Sepang was not ready yet those days.

So they resurfaced the track and Dorna came to inspect and got the approval. I think that's the last time PG got resurfaced.

 

The Johor round was also the first race Rossi took part in the 250cc, after becoming champion in the 125cc the year before.

 

We were doing 1.42 in our 750cc in 1998, and these 250cc GP bikes were doing 1.30s. ???

Yup, I know Arend. I rode up with him to Sepang on my first track day there few years back. I'm aware of the viffer meet up but didn't attend coz of my birthday BBQ that very nite.
