Bro Ah Pek,

If you test ride a bike can you tell whats the bike problem? I really admire ur knowledge in bike.... Just like to find out from ur opinion by fixing extra grounding(people always do the 3 pt or 5 pt grounding) really helps?

For a start, I would not ride and test, stationary is okay. So, the ebst person to know is the rider himself..before and after.

Grounding is not an xtra, its a solution. If you have read threads around here, this has been debated before. Personally and my prerogative, its a must and as with regards as to whether if its infective, its a definite "yes". The question is how its done RIGHT. Not sure about what mototiam or ppl who uses the word "points"..its not to me.

Not necessary if you are referring to reading taken from those mass order type digital voltmeter or those bought from Mustaffah or LAB. You have to use a proper test voltmeter. I have just three case like that recently. You oso need an alternator charging test piece to find if the coil are doing ok.

All things may be ok..so don't trust and rely on those voltmeter that you installed. Also wrong tapping juncture can give 'false' reading. A grounded and non grounded bike oso has difference.

If you guys want to have as accurate as possible reading from your battery, do a direct link with a fuse and a bypass manual switch from the voltmeter to the actual battery terminal. Don't recommend tapping from your ignition switch oso (its considered a use load path). It oso gives you a more responsive meter reading when checking charging voltage level when you rev to check charging. However, things are oso subjected to meter quality made.

Ah pek,

Next i need ur advise is abt if my bike left over for 1 night( nv start my bike) next morning start bike will have a "pop" sound from the exhaust. (Just like "back fire")

Is my fuel to rich or is it normal? will it affect my bike in long run?

It Is Not How FAST You Can Travel, But How FAST You Can Handle?

Not rich..but on the lean side. Common to bike that has third party end can or full system. Proper air/fuel mixture tuning to match your exhaust throughput should do the job.

I had this problem when i bought my second hand bike too.. when i used to wait in the traffic signal it becomes quite difficult to move off. you have to give lot of acceleration for initial move off or the bike will stall. its caused due to over flooding of fuel in your carb when ur waiting, i did a complete carb service + tuning for 80$, and the prob is gone. take it to bike works ubi, the guy did a excellent job.

The next time this happens..do a drain on the 4 carbs first before going to the mototiam...you could have save $80. This has been done before on etime too many..and one worst case was the bike started..rev and died almost instantly. Flooding in carbs are usually caused by flloat jammed and unable to cut off fuel fllow when it suppose to.

Website?..may be nut I dunno.

Anyway, its a flat headed screw right at the bottomof the carbs. Each carb got one. All you need is a long flat head screw driver to turn anticlockwise to release the excess fuel from the carbs. Make sure you do this when your engine is cool..or jsy warm. Tighten it when done..done over tighten and start kike. As long as no fuel flows thru the drain nozzle of the carbs..you are done. Got problem..pm me.

drain out everything ??? need to take a bowl or something to collect the fuel ?? cos when i tried to drain out ... the fuel drip everywhere .....

Its ok..smell of fuel for a while and soon dry up. Petrol is not that much (just the carb basin size amount or less). If yours have a fuel tap, turn it to off. Vtec no need.

which means, the famous motorshop ive been just cheated me!

i retuned and syncronised my carb. when he blow the trottle, i heard a backfire sound, so i ask why got backfire. he said 'later u ride no more ady'.

but these days, there's a lil backfiring on my bike.

THANKS AH MR. mechanic from that famous shop behind kallang singpost!

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

This should be alright unless it sound like you are playing with firecrackers on your ride while you ride..like for 1 km, 100 firecrackers when off

I also have the same problem on my Spec1 as TS but mine only happens once in a long long while. So it doesn't really bothers me. Other than moving off, everything else is ok.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.
