As for now, i hope that TS is taking the sentences passed down to him with an open mind...hope that he take this as a lesson and not to repeat the same mistake(s) again..we are only human and human tend to make mistakes, be it rational or irrational...for all i know, if u do it, get caught, learn from the punishment and just get on with life...licence can always be retaken if revoked...but pls dun ever think its the end...

Seek MP is waste of time, MP will ask u to get lost, this is an obvious fault of yours not the Traffic Police Dept.

 

Endure 1or 2yrs take bus, mrt after that waste $$$ re-learn everything as newbie.

 

Btw,you say u are almost going to take ur 2A test soon,so why not wait pass than ride ?

the result is 1 yr revoke n 1300 dollars fine

this is really a painful lesson....i guess this marks the end of my riding life...

after the ban period i'll be focusing on gettin back my class 3 only...

if ur a 2b newbie planning on upgrading after 1 yr can get my phantom 800 bucks....

the s4 still in gd condition gg for 7k...

1 year will pass very quickly. will be a waste to not get back the bike license since the training is so fresh in your mind. just dont repeat the mistake again.

im lucky i escaped from being revoked for like 2-3 times...being caught by a normal patrol car...

 

to reese...ur just like my brother...this cannot that cannot...ok fine at condo carpark also cannot try..fine if u dont want to be hit by someone with no insurance...but heck...u can always try it with everything being considered like its really damn quiet and u checked theres no patrol car coming..then try it for a really short while and distance...and be mindful of ppl...ride slowly....

 

dont go ride at highways during the night or normal road...now THAT is what i call STUPID...test ride for short distances and short while after the coast is really clear and that u can see any incoming polices at some corner area of hdb blocks.

we cant say that we wont ever test ride our friend's bike or whoever when we wanna buy it right,unless we really trust its in good condition.

 

anyway...people are bound to break the law again even after they get their license revoked..so instead of telling them not to test ride at all..how bout we tell them how to stay vigilant of these polices?if we really needa test ride that is..

 

and for those who bought the bike before u got ur license...and those wanna joyride without insurance...i still stand with the rest

 

just be careful when test riding at carparks..break the law just dont get into trouble

If it is not kana caught by road block patrol car or TP but is by one *** *** rider who spotted a suey guy riding the same bike as him and called the police as he think dat the suey guy riding the same bike as him scratched his bike...(the suey guy was entering into his house carpark when he saw the *** *** rider)

 

Unfortunately, the suey guy has no valid licence and was referred to tp...(police side no case)..wat will the consequence be?? will TP still charge him as he has no valid licence...but once again i stress that he is not caught by any road block patrol car or TP but is only seen by this *** *** rider and it is ONLY during the questioning by police that the suey guy revealed that he has no valid licence..

 

Happened to a friend..:cry: and really want to help him..so would like to seek any advise from experience riders here..thanks a lot..

Immaterial caught by whom. The case will be referred to TP and the penalty will be the same as TS. There is no possible way you can help him except to tell him to be mindful in future.

I don't think it's too far-fetched to suppose some jurisdictions require declarations, especially so far as conversation of foreign licenses are concerned. These kinda things most likely all or nothing - they either issue you a licence free of t&cs (save for probationary period), or they don't (whether or not because of driving history); doubtful they'd issue a license with some rider as a penalty.

Wah .. complicated! I'm inclined to believe the person would have to retake the test. Don't think the law is so unsophisticated (or stupid) as to allow the exploitation of such a glaring loophole.
