hi all,

i gonna take over a 2nd hand Swinger today.. Just drop by to say hi and learn from the experienced Swinger with the maintainance and handling of Swinger.

Morning all..

welcome to the swinger club

1st piece of advice especially if you're new to a big scoot... try not to:

* out-muscle the ¼ton beast unless u have popeye power

* corner acutely; once the handlebar locks, its usually one-way-ticket down

we have a kaki who dropped his bike within hours after collecting his brand new bike... heartache sia http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Sad/sad-032.gif

see ya later

ps: very important to highlight to you partner that swinger means Silver Winger in this forum and NOT that swinger defined by wiki, else later kenna ban like someone... whahahaha

Is anybody riding the new SilverWing GT?

http://www.ibike.com.hk/01_bike_report/09/honda/gt600/06.jpg

It's engine is mounted on the chassis instead of the swingarm. Does it handle better than the previous SilverWing?

i am riding the SWT,dunno if any difference from the previous, but one thing i like...smooth touring ...:thumb:

Its a pleasure n finally get to meet u , n the rest of the old birds :D

Need any automobile needs/info/insurance feel free to leave me a tinker or PM, n this applies to all Swinger's or frens !

If u intend to buy from Borneo, avoid the 2 Lit.

If u intend to get the JDM , do let me know, i'll try my best to get u the best deal, if not peace of mind purchase.

Pre-owned wise, i can help too, our associate has many Camry's as they focus more on big cars.

Lastly, hope to see u on yr swing soon!

from what we've read, honda didn't reinvent the SW but simply gave the successful bike a new facelift, i.e. other than the tupperware and other external stuffs, we're looking at the same chasis, same engine, same CVT, same suspensions, same CBS, same wheels, etc. i think the seat is also the same

makes lots of business sense coz no need to maintain different sets of parts for the FJS, JDM n SWT :thumb:

just curious, does the SWT come with a "cigarette" socket for 12V power built in at the left glove lockable compartment? that's really useful especially when touring.

can try BMW grip (black) if willing to pamper your hands... $30 for a pair at adventure on wheels, +$5 to install (DIY is free). also can get from PM but prob more ex.

if want color or design, can try harris grips available from LAB, 219, etc. think the abt $25+ a pair grips is very popular among S4 riders.

No...i have to built one under my seat ...the left compartment have an round plastic shape moulding to modify for that usage...

Two question when u all open up the seat compartment,is there any funny squekking sound, because mine have an "old door" sound leh, and when i am riding here is also a ekking sound from my rear ...i am suspecting that it's coming from the rear suspension, any one encounter this 2 experiences before?

ekk ekk sound if more noticeable over humps is usually the main stand.

Just oil the joints can liao.

Likewise for the pivot joints for the seat.

yup, just go down to LAB and tell him you want the throttle rocker. buy it and slip the plastic onto the right throttle then adjust the angle by turning it clockwise gently (can only turn in 1 direction)... whala

some lubrication can help... i spray chain lub (EO also can) into the collars of the main stand and use single oil on the underseat damper :thumb:

Hmm... not many SW with hyperpro front and hagon rear suspension...

Looks familiar.

Considering reliable Honda engine, the price is goody.
