There's local dealer for these. I've asked b4, and could be legalized.. but cost is hefty...

People, what's the estimated top speed for silverwing? Mine is jdm, max throttle at 153. Still pretty smooth though :D But I heard some can hit 160+, any sugguestion to improve my top? Or is it due to some of my transmisson parts had worn off or sumthing?

:cheer:

my 2006 manufactured FJS clocked 165+ on meter when it was much much younger. stock conditions (except IUH24 iridium sparkies and PA2), ran on rather flat long "straight" along NSHW in the day. max throt already but still can't hit 170 :p

tried that only once to know my scooby's top, that's all... no more attempts at those crazy death defying stunts.

on hindsight, not recommended to try as risk is not worth it... unless the urge is too strong to overcome :pity:

try FOC means:

* topless... i mean topbox-less

* sport windshield... less drag at front

* check tyre condition and pressure (too low cause "resistance")

* less load inside bike... less fuel and barang barang

* less load on bike... no pillion, can't do anything to rider except slimming :lol:

* ride down slope... bluff bluff yourself to feel shiok

try non-FOC means:

* lighter eo... try 10w30 (still within honda's spec) or something like Liqui Moly, change back to 10w40 after the run :p

* heavier rollers... dunno how much that'll help thou

* after-market exhaust full system... e.g. leo vince

* higher octane fuel... e.g. V-Power Racing

* iridium sparkies... e.g. IUH24

* dunno how tru but heard JDM has power-cut, mod to remove/bypass it

* change ECU... use the FJS one

* mod engine capacity... kenna caught means ho-say-liow

* change bike... whahahaha

try at your own risk hor... my take? dun try la, be safe :smile:

nope. my rollers are still inside the sw-t. trying to get e 35grs to install today, just to lower cruise rpm on the NSH for a malacca ride coming wed. e 29gr pictured is just for backup in case 35gr no stock.

still looking for a light full system. benchmark is the LV evo2 at 4+kg. stock is 10kg.(infor from lv webbie)

You need a aftermarket full system (e.g. LV) to hit 160+ for sure........ :p

Today's report for Fraser Hill:

Left Genting at 9am and rode 30km to Batang Kali for breakfast.

Then found a small hotspring near there (6km). Next time can bring you all there to soak legs...

Took the Kuala Kubu Ruote to Fraser Hill:

25km of Simpang Pulai type of road. Nice curves without the traffic.

Then 20km of Tapah type of road to the Gap. Still ok becos the road surface is better than Tapah.

Then comes the stressful 8km Gap route.

Super tight corners and max speed was about 30km/h. Many times gotta slow to almost dead stop for 180 degrees up slope bend.

Lucky no car from opposite direction. Hehe, only 1 lane how to have 2 direction?

No wonder they say Mae Hong Son is tough. Expect to be similar but 100km long.

At Fraser Hill, went for a walk at the waterfall. No bad. Got lots of pool to swim in.

Took the clockwise loop down (1-way only) towards the bottom Gap. Turn left another 28km of twist and turns then reach Route 8.

Went Bentong (30km more) for a drink and then back to Genting.

no worries... to me, the forum is a place where bikers help each other out, including sharing of good or bad experiences (as long as there's no malice or slander), getting good/reasonable deals for maintenance matters.

i happen to know kenny quite well and also change my eo/filter at future, that's why i'm familiar with their prices for SW's oil filter and the maxima extra4 eo. if there's a mistake in price, we should try to get the matter resolved amicably and obtain refund for the excess charged. if i can help, why not :)

what's more important is we can find a place that can serve our SW well and at reasonable prices :smile:

Hi people, my clutch begin to slip aldy but yet so serious. Dunno is it due to changing malossi torque sprng which causes my clutch to slip. Just replaced it two days ago and today it starts to slip aldy :( I heard by right it shld prolong the clutch life after replacing the torque spring but mine is shorten my clutch life lei.. Haha dunno ehhether is unlucky or what.. Lol btw what's the estimated life span of a sw clutxh?

Btw is it advise to replace the whole clutch assembly or service the clutch assembly? How much will the damage cost? Any shop to recommend to replace/service it cheaper?

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!
