What are the symptoms and how it arrives at the conclusion that it's steering cone bearing problem? What's the age and mileage of your bike?

 

The steering is tight to one side already. Also when took out the bearings are not evenly worn out.

Just did mine few months back from him too...

Btw do give it a check on ur front wheel bearing.

Last but not least since u r servicing ur fork, u might wish to consider fitting on a pair fork seal protector?

 

The one similar with spec2 and abv, as this will avoid & minimise debris from damaging ur fork seal.

If I not mistaken the price for a pair of it cost only $16. From Fjt.

AN650L3 (current): All mod transferred.

SW-T400 (till oct 13): voltmeter, safety features disabled. coocase v36+remote. Adjustable, folding Brake levers. Givi AF318 windshield. on-off switch(pilot light, head light, hazard light), electrical seat unlatch,Dr pulley.

AN400K6 (apr07-dec11): side deflectors, J Costa variator, Dr pulley slider + HiT clutch.

YP250, RVF400/RS250, NSF125.

Hi fellow SWingers,think its time for me to upgrade to another bike.My SW600 has served me well and it's time to let go if the price is reasonable.Bike formerly from Bro Phaithorn.

ASP quoted me 4.3K and another bike shop quoted me 4K,claiming 600 not popular and un-sellable.Looking to upgrade to Harley roadKing or midnight star Yamaha 1300.

Any bros know the logical price I should let go of my bike?

And sorry to a bro who PM me asking to view my bike.I won't arrange any viewing till I get to know the market selling price.

 

Would appreciate any bros who knows the logic selling market rate to PM me,instead.Many thanks and not I'm forsaking SW,IT'S a BLOODY REALIABLE AND GREAT BIKE,just that my heart yearns for a cruiser..

Hmm... Paithorn's ex-JDM was the only SW I know that has a FC around 20km/L (+/-). The rest were mostly at 17km/L.

Should be a good buy if bike continued to be well-maintained.

 

COE should have 4 to 5yrs left?

Minimum $6k bah given the high cost of new bikes.

Maiker, just head down to FJT and tell them you want the CB400 Spec2/3 fork protector. They will know what you looking for cos the bigger size guy asked me; "For your SWing ar?" And he smiled...

Bike reg date 21/03/05 and REAL mileage-18000+km ,FC is almost 18km/litre not so tok-kong like bro Phaithorn.Servicing is NOT required as last svc was at 16k.this scoot max is 5k svc interval, or more usage will be 3k svc.Check out my mileage for 7yrs=18k...=4500km per year!!

 

Looking for 5.2k cash or you look for your own motor-diam for reloan.Number plate will be retained by me.All charges and misc fees borne by buyer.Interested pls pm me.

Then same. Not a perfect fit our SW fork case dun have grooves, unlike S4.

converted. all except headlight. got mine from ebay, like more reliable.

I shipped a set of High Power 3W 4-SMD LED Light Pure White pole lights from ebay. Super bright. Cost me about $10 or less include shipping. Anyone interested i post the URL.Took about 2 weeks to reach me. This is the one I brought.

what is the indication if the red oil lamp indicator on sw-t400 dash is illuminated?

 

Low oil pressure. Top up with some EO. Measure with dip stick when engine is cold. Check for any signs of EO leak around right crankcase cover and EO cap.

 

So you replaced your pole lights already? Which tupperware to remove?

 

Only need to remove the "W". Can access to headlights, pole lights and signal lights.

Yes, and correct, the W tupperware. A bit tricky to remove. And if your ur hand big, then is a pain..

Saw some 7 watt Cree LED pole light...With 320 lumen....Can our socket support? 320lumens is fooking bright. Is like 2 small touch light...Those who own a 3 watts Cree LED touch light knows what it can do..Anyone game to try..ahahhaha

Thinking to try but 45mm looks too long as it may hit the headlight cover.

From eye-balling, looks tight. Standard is about 27mm; so additional 20mm clearance needed.

 

Are you able to do an eye-ball how much clearance you have left after installing your 33mm 3W LED?
