tcss new coil is of a newer model 31120-MFT-642 vs SW9000 31120-MFT-641

 

new and improved version?

 

My part sheet showed that 641 replaces the 642.

This.... and FJT says the 641 is currently out of stock.

Possibly other suppliers are left only with some 642 bah.

How I read is "from 5219228 onwards, ...642", whatever is that number. Hard to believe a bigger number is an older part.

anyone here using the J costa?? wat weights do u guys use n recommend?

Im using 16g 1s now, pickup is gd but i feel after 100 it slows down

 

Although i not sure what's the weight available for j costa pins, but 16g seems to be too light for a 400cc.

I used to use 14g for my previous runner. Lol

If you compare with stock rollers, which was 28g. 28-16 =12g less.

No doubt for sure it boosts ur pick up due to less drag in ur variatior for ur initial move off but on the other hand it wont be heavy enough to push ur variatior for the top range.

Hence u will experience high rpm with lesser top range.

Try searching for at least 20 to 22gram which I think it will be more practical on road.

I think J-Costa for SW-T has 12 rollers vs SW-T stock 8 rollers. So 192g vs 200g is 8g lighter for better acceleration but lower top end. You gain some, you lose some. All's fair :lol:

Met a handsome guy at MotoWorld today.

He suggested a lobster trip this month and therefore:

 

Lobster Lunch Ride

Date: 23 Sep 12 (Sun)

Time: 8am

Meet at: JB Shell

 

Itinerary (Part 1):

8am - Gather

8.15am - Move Off

9am (10am) - Desaru Fruit Farm TCSS (67km via E22)

10.15am (11am) - Desaru Beach LLSS (10km)

11.30am (1.30pm) - SG Renggit Vegetarian Lobster Lunch/buy biscuit (34km)

 

Part 2 - OTOT

1. Either head home or...

2. Bukit Indah shopping/watch movie (102km)
