Might go for ABS after all. Just gotta check if HL has stocks. Gonna be a first for ABS. Wonder what it feels like. Does the ABS brakes require extra maintenance and what's the likelihood of it spoiling I wonder?

The only maintenance for me is changing brake pad. Only tried the "power" of ABS on my previous 1800 when I had to slam on my brakes at around 100km/h due to some arsehole braking suddenly on the highway. After that incident, I have total confidence in ABS.

How about brake oil bleeding.? I usually change my brake oil every year.....Why? Brake oil is the weakest link on the braking system, that why I religiously change them every 12 months. My sport bike days....5-6 months. The lousiest brake pad before it started to fade...400C, the best brake oil 312C..

Is degree Celsius, the tempreture that the brake oil can manage before it start to fade...

ABS bike comes with an extra controller(something like a ECU). It constantly monitor your front and rear wheel speed during braking. If there is a different speed detected the controller will reduce the brake pressure to prevent wheel lock. If the whole ABS fail, the system will convert to normal brake system as a safely precaution.

These are just some detail how the ABS work. You may find more of it if you google on the net.

I think it's not their fault la. properly because of the fairing being flexed too much due to bad design than it cracked a little. Just to remind the rest of us to be more careful and don't be like me heart pain.

Ray, wanna make a trip to HL next weekend to check with them about our white fairing? as u, me and quanc21 got the hairline crack. so we shld b able to ask them for some answer. maybe it's mis-handle of our bikes during shipment, etc..

My Rides:

[Jan03 - NSR150SP]

[Mar04 - RVF400RT]

[Apr05 - PIAGGIO X8]

[sep05 - YZF-R6]

[May07 - SilverWing]

[Apr10 - VFR800 ABS]

[Dec10 - Tmax]

Guys! Finally I have found the right gear oil for our final drive train as stated by our owner manual from LIQUI MOLY Racing gear oil SAE80w API GL4 & I have to order a carton due to rare demand. Normally on market they only carry gear oil SAE75w90 API-GL5 or the SAE80w90 which is unsuitable for us...

To what I understand those 75w90 or 80w90 gear oil is for those 2-stroke bike gear oil like what my previous Yamaha TZM using not the same as our final drive train oil.

So if any of u need I'll just sell at my buying price...

How I notice about this brand of oil? Cause my friend recommend me for my renault Kangoo. My van is 10 years already previously I'll been using mobil 1, but after changing it at AMK industrial area I find it smooth & somehow better In power a bit & lesser vibration on the gear knob, but Amk kuo li auto they only got for van & car oil.. That where I know at extreme equipment they bring in for motorbike oil...

I thought 400c will be better as it can withstand higher temperature point? So where do u get it done? With what brand of brake fluid?

Another thing is with ABS, do the brake pads wear out faster or as per normal? Is there also a power cut on the T Max?
