Been to HL this morning. Have a chat with one of the staff incharge. Their record show that the pump have been changed the previous repair. The explanation was that the motor tolerance is design to be too thigh so when it get hot the motor stop spinning. Asked him to change but he claim its pointless. They will help me insulate the tank which is not a permanent fix.

 

Guess I have lost trust in this bike.

 

I'm going to order the motor from the Thai shop and give it a try.

 

Hope it will solve the problem. Do keep us update....

But I already fix the HK oversize in Liao. Mayb going to buy the mono block bracket some time soon then fix brembo caliper. Saving up first.

I'm trying to see if my friend's friend in Thai live nearby there or not. If not will have to send by post. Only problem is that they dun understand much English so a bit of communication breakdown.

Got back my bike today. They change my pump again and hopefully the last.

 

I must mention the service from HL is above expectation. I'm only piss with yamaha from keeping quiet about the problem.

Found this from a Italy Tmax forum.

 

Better explain ... by mid 2010 we received some new pumps (those marked blue) that overcomes the defects found in some frames end of '07, '08 and '09 about half (not the remainder of '09 and '10 who probably have a pump type already improved and reliable). They were probably products of different manufacturers, some of them did not guarantee a perfect operation (as well happen), while others were ok. These new pumps (blue marking) tolerances are better suited to the smooth operation and then solve the problem. Subsequently there has been a whole new redesign of the pump with the release of the marked BROWN (with better construction standards), which certainly gives the best guarantee of proper operation with all the technical update on the campaign.

The 1st time they change my pump was the blue labeled version which if the information is correct is the 1st revised version of the pump but fail. This time round it's the brown version hopefully it's the better version.

 

Anyone here got their pump replaced before can tell me what colour is yours? Just want to compare. You can see it when you lift your seat and the rubber cover at the front near the fuel tank.
