Hi all, just bought my Tmax 530, any 530 users here got change to aftermarket exhaust, pls tell me brand and where you bought from.

are you riding the 500 or the 530 because i called up the Akra Distributor here in SGP, Works-Performances, and they said it's yet to be approved by LTA

 

and currently they do not have stock, after placing a deposit, a 1.5 mths wait for deliverly applies.

 

any chance you can be more specific on which shop you bought from, as i called a few places like Unique and Hodaka Motoworld, Gmax, biketech21, all say not legal yet and therefore they are not bringing in.

I am on 530, the akra for 500 & 530 is the same just that need to submit paper work for approval on the 530. Mine is the 1st akra on 530, submitted documents and waiting for LTA approval. All shops also take from Works Performance as its the only distributor for akra.

the reason I called the other shops was for other brands, Unique is for Yoshi, Hodaka Motoworld is for Remus, Gmax is for Leovince and Biketech21 is for Arrow,

 

Looks like i am going down after work to place deposit for the Akra at Works performance since they are the only option available

Arrow got, but not registered with LTA, so same problem, need to import then send to pics and specs to LTA for approval, then can install then can go LTA again to get the final approval.

In that case think akra is the earliest to get approval then. Now waiting for them approval then next batch of akra will not be a problem liao

Yup. its true. I have read on the US forums that some 08, 09s have it, u might have to scroll all the way back this thread to see if others have it here.

 

My '11 just suffered from it. Was told by the HL guy that my fuel pump is the new version, but still...

 

Symptom i faced was that i couldn't start the bike after letting the bike rest for awhile after a ride 1-2 hrs. The bike could crank but it doesn't start. Let it sit for awhile and it starts like nothing happened.

 

My 08 Majesty400 also has the same fuel pump issue! Ever since HL changed the faulty fuel pump for me, my bike has been problem free until today. My previous Gilera200VXR & Vespa 200GT also have the same issue! Unfortunately, their service agent was unable to rectify the problem.

I've been hearing humming sounds coming from the belt drive and it gets pretty loud when I'm slowing down. Is this normal? Or should I bring it to Hong Leong to get it checked. Many thanks!

hi bro EJ. that problem u mention happen to mine also lol. was abit kan chiong at 1st. tot what can be wrong to a new bike. went to bike shop to check and was told that the stock tightness of the final drive belt was too tight and have to loosen abit. after done is ok. but than after few days the sound come out again and seems like is louder this time. went back to shop. mech tried adjusting the belt still can't solve. he told me maybe is that bike haven run in. the belt is still hard n haven season. true enough, after I take the bike for riding I tried to open and drag abit hope can maybe help to season it. now no more funny sound alr. only a sound which I think most t max will have that is the brake disc n the brake pad friction sound when the wheel is turning. haha just to share my experience when running in hope it helps.

so far I haven get my iu!! lol. cause got spare bike. maybe not fixing iu. for my previous 08 t max I store my iu in the right compartment. no problem detecting gantry.
