Bro bobktm2 are you getting the akra full exhaust for your Tmax 500.

I would like to get the akra full exhaust for my 2011 Tmax 500 too. Maybe buy more then can get better discount lol.

After we buy then go to AC to fix it up then go for inspection.

Next step as advice by one bro which is to put power commander 3 then tune it up.

If you getting then can contact me too bro bobktm2.

My hp 81617759.

No need to go shop and install. Can install yourself very easy to do. Just need to get new exhaust header gaskets..

rien d'autre que le max.

To better improve the new Akra pipe upgrade, my 2 cents worth also to have the Power commander 3 and KN or BMC air filter also, so have these 3 in and dyno tuned.

The HP gain can be around 3 to 5 horses, cheers

For Tmax there is only full system no slip ons.

Yoshi not legal (R77. Not sure if there is any other choices)

Leo Vince SBK Shorty also not legal (But legal for 500 as I used it on my 500)

I like Termignoni for it's look.

Always best to tune for maximum performance.

If you get from overseas yourself, I`m not sure if can pass inspection.

To bros, who wants to self import full system pipes

LTA placed such restrictions as also your pipe homologation is endorsed by Akrapovic or whatever brand and only importers like Raceworks, Unique Motorsport, and Hong Leong etc for example have the rights as business entities,. They will company stamped the pipes certificate as bought and installed by them. They will also write a proxy letter to LTA to have the pipes inspected. There at LTA you pay around $80 for fees, photos taken and new document of the pipe legally registered under your name as a new attachment to your bike.

The right specs, noise and emission for the pipes as for "Singapore use" is considered legal. If your self imported pipes comes with no documentation whatsoever is considered "ILLEGAL"

bullshit. LTA and bikeshops all just want to help each other by squeezing all of us dry dry with all the red tapes and all the bullshits.

LTA inspection more stringent than EU/JMCA? The certificate is included with each pipe that is shipped from various manufacturers so long the pipes are homologated with EU/JMCA. With that certificate, it is considered as STREET LEGAL in whatever countries that uses/follow that standards.

only in sunny SG whereby using a EU/JMCA endorsed STREET LEGAL pipe requires additional inspection and 'homologation'.

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

IMHO $80 inspection and system record fee is justifiable to keep legal exhaust system under check. BUT having the distributors profiting from us by >$500 in providing their stamp chopped letters asking LTA for inspection is just ridiculous. Some shops like work performance do not even provide installation or charge additional for the installation. They really squeeze us dry. It is exactly the same exhaust model as we self import with the same set of certificate paper. The sad part is LTA encourage us to buy from distributor instead of self import for unknown reason. If we self import, it must be EC certified only and have the emission and noise test results.

Hi all tmax riders, I am new to the family and has been riding my tmax for almost 3 weeks. I have some questions and hope can get some info from here:

The speedo default display units are in Miles, gallons... Anyone take the trouble to reformat it to Km, liters....I heard that is possible but is a lot of work and might cost a lot...is it true?

If is possible, where can we do it?

I have a free akrapovic pipe (new bike bundle) coming soon...waiting for it as long q. How much does this cost actually?

To install box, we need a rack and a base plate? Or the rack itself is the base plate...

Pardon my noob question as never install box before in previous bikes, new to scooter family...not really sure which is which...

Where can I get them rea$onably...

I'm hitting almost 600miles, riders handbook says to send for some servicing check upon clocking, anyone practice this? Otherwise, when would the next recommended servicing? To follow the book anot?

Hmm, how much mileage (tame riding) did u guys claim averagely on a full tank?

HID light not possible, standard dim lights on both eyes also not legal. True?

AC has relocated to......? Is it the best place to service tmax?

I have seen digital voltmeter installed on the dash before in some tmax, was there useful and essential? How much would it cost?

Thank you for reding this....hope can get enlightenment😁

[i think it's not possible unless you change the whole display unit. I have already got used to it since the speedo has both miles and km. Just do my own conversion using google for mpg to kml.]]

[[You need both rack and base plate. I use H&B. MTechnik is importer for H&B. Just don't expect service with a smile or nice conversation.]]

I'm hitting almost 600miles, riders handbook says to send for some servicing check upon clocking, anyone practice this? Otherwise, when would the next recommended servicing? To follow the book anot?

[[better follow recommended service intervals. Best to flush out the oil at 600 miles to get ride of whatever metal residue from the manufacturing process out.]]

Hmm, how much mileage (tame riding) did u guys claim averagely on a full tank?

[[i get about 20km per liter. I throttle gradually from the zero.]]

HID light not possible, standard dim lights on both eyes also not legal. True?

[[Heard it's all not legal. Won't pass LTA check, I think.]]

AC has relocated to......? Is it the best place to service tmax?

[[AC has shifted to unit #25 at the same building, same floor.

If your Tmax is brand new from HL, better to do servicing at HL for warranty purpose (6 months validity, based on my last check).]]

I have seen digital voltmeter installed on the dash before in some tmax, was there useful and essential? How much would it cost?

[i wanted to fix this at AC during my last service but he has not got the stock yet.]
