Hi guys! Would like to get some advice/tips on overhaul(be it Top or Full overhaul) prices for those who had overhauled their gillys before.(If you must know, i'm riding a VXR 200 05)

 

Do state the workshop, restore duration, workmanship(Are the machine restored to new or are they cranky as before even after restoration.), stuffs changed and last of all, prices!

Everyone here will appreciate the additional valuable information so please do share!

Full overhaul technically means the restoration of your vehicle internal components to factory settings.

Hi guys,

 

I passed my 2B bike test a week back and am deciding which bike to get. The choice is now between a Gilera VXR 200 and a Vespa GT200. Hoping to get some advice from you veteran bikers.

 

I will be buying the bike 2nd hand. Likely upgrading to a 400cc bike after I get my class 2A license.

 

The main purpose of the scooter is for daily travel to and from work. There is a high chance I will be working in the CBD area.

 

Which bike do you think is better in the following aspects?

 

- Fuel consumption efficiency

- Maintenance/servicing costs

- Ease of handling

- Comfort level while riding

 

I believe that the two bikes cost roughly the same 2nd hand?

hi, bros.. had a minor fall on my gilera.. after i fall i pick up my bike and e-start it.. then i saw white smoke coming out from the xhaust.. is it possible the fall cud cause the coolant pump or gasket to be damage and cause it to be mix with engine oil? or the piston worn? pls help me.. thks

If you're looking to upgrade to 2A, then a VXR will not be practical, as it requires more mantainance then a normal 2b bike. And it also depends on your luck, as in the state of the 2nd hand VXR. Hope this helps. =)

Thanks for the advice guys. After doing further research I am starting to seriously consider getting a 2nd hand cub as my first 2B bike - Yamaha X-1R.

When you feel its cranky aka gila. When u refilled EO 3 days ago and EO light litted up and stalled the engine while on the road(might be block leaking eo)! When your gilly makes horrible metal noises or serious choking noises, or EO light litting up and off like its disco night etc!

Hi all. Been riding a vxr 07 for 2 months. So far it's been a decent bike. But just that this evening as i tried to start the bike, there isn't any ignition sound coming from the bike. It was fine in the morning though. May I know what could be the problem? I'm sure it's not the batt as the horn and lights are working fine. Issit the spark plug or the coil or the wiring might be faulty? I seriously need help from those who know the bike better. Thanks.

hey bro, the red light blinking mean what ah?? not enough EO? or?

Normally it means EO is low. Check your EO level and further troubleshoot. if EO level is adequate then It could be other problem like EO sensor faulty
