bro have you bought your bike yet? well I got a 2nd hand gilera as well, I actually got a very good deal, it was all stock, had 27,000km milage on it, never crashed but dropped before (scratches), lady rider and paid only $1700 for it.. The price was considered cheap as I got it directly from a seller and not shop, it has 3 years left on its COE...

The things I would say to look out for is 1) the mods, try to get a bike with as much original parts as you can, even thou many sellers will try to tempt you by saying that they've moded this and that, some mods actually do the bike more harm thus its better to get as much stock and mod yourself if you really want to mod. 2) Bring the bike to a shop and let them inspect it first, ask them to do a full inspection and tell you what needs to be changed and how much it would cost.. I recommend you go straight to the distributor, shop name is Tong Aik at golden wall complex right next to la'selle.. The shop is run by 2 sisters and the head mechanic is their brother. They only do stock parts and are very experienced and honest. Cheap and reliable. They actually helped me save alot of money. 3) look out for the main parts and conditions of all parts. When I got mine, I bargained with the seller on the main parts that would make the bike road worthy, in the end whatever needed to be repaired to make it road worthy, either he paid full cost or we split it half half. If you really need help, just drop me an sms and I'll go look at the bike with you :) @90270501, there are more to look out for but just a lil hard for me to explain here..

it actually depends... overhaul could cost as low as $700 only. You might wanna ask the mechanic to list down the item replacement in details.

1.Few main diff of 2stroke - 2stroke requires 2t. therefore it produces white smoke. - it orginally sounds much sharper compare to 4 stroke as is using a belly pipe. - it comes with kick starter, where as 4 stroke only got e start. - it has only one rear shock where as 4stroke have two. - last but no least they are unable to con u as if u were getting a sp 180, there will be black & white paper for transfers for ownership state the model and it's description of the bike. therefore no much worry about it:)

2.spare parts wise is still available in market but not much compare to the 4 stroke gilera.

3.maintenance wise hmmm is about the same as 4stroke just tat if u compare the durability of the machine, i can say 4stroke is much lasting and reliable. as is a newer technology and is more environmental friendly which doesnt require 2t to lurbricate the engine.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!
