Does anyone find that the suspension on the GtS is quite harsh? Especially the front. Feels good on the bigger road humps, but the narrow high type, teeth can drop! I am thinking either rebuild front fork or change front tires,,, what are your experiences like? Anyone stay around marine parade so can compare ?

Hi guys, my 4-month old gts 200 having carburetor problems..

- 1st mth, idling time runs, bike suddenly stall when not revved. adjusted the idling rpm. nothing removed.

- 2nd mth, same stalling prob, mech says carb dirty, removed and washed, ok.

- 4th mth, stalled again, mech says carb dirty again...removed and washed again..

Im wondering, how can a new bike have dirty carburetor? I've always pumped Esso 95. Any riders here experienced this before? Btw, bike bought from Mah, serviced all done there.

,Its not dirty carb. I had the same problem with my GTS when I purchased it new 8 months ago. Had to get the scoot towed back 4 times in the 1st month !!! The SYM comes with a 10K warranty. I spoke to the big boss and finally had the whole carb system from carb to pump changed. Has the new Lemon law kick in in Singapore? Bring them to court for a new replacement.

So the next time it happens, I'll ask for a replacement then.. but wats the real problem? in case it happens after the 10k warranty...

Syamfir, before you ask for a replacement, you need to find out if the lemon law is in force here! Best is talk to the big boss himself. I spoke to him personally on my GTS problem and he decided to replace the whole fuel system from carb, fuel pump to fuel feeder hose etc. like I said, I had the GTS towed back 4 times and each time the mech washed the carb and fuel filter. This was good for about 300 to 400km only and the same problem would surfaced again. On the 4th time, the system was changed and taadaa .... problem free till today.

I currently encounter this problem of:

After starting the bike, in normal condition my rev meter should be no:(2) or 2000rpm. But recently during start up, the 2 went down alittle to ard 1800rpm. So i move off for abt less then amin engine stall.. lol.

The remedy i tried was, wait until the temperature gauge move to abt 2 bar then the rev meter will move up to 2. Then i move off. Problem solve. But then, it shouldnt be the case right when previously it wasnt like this.

Any bros had same encounters?
