Hi guys,

When ur throttle off from stationary, what rpm ur scoot hit? Mine will only hit 4000rpm. I realised SynMan's scoot will hit 5000rpm thus it felt quite torquey when it moved off.

Mine will from 4000rpm, steadily hit 5000rpm (thankfully, otherwise my acceleration very chui).

90kph@4250rpm

100kph@4750rpm

110kph@5100rpm

120kph@6000rpm

130kph@6500rpm

Are your bikes giving the abv speed vs rpm reading? My scoot 8yrs 4mths old already with just past 65000miles on the odo.

Anyone who free oso can come dwn kopi lah....

Lavender food court is juz walking distance from my workplc...

Topgear.....,my rpm around 3500k +/- e bike will start to move off......after around 4k rpm no more vibration....

Posted

My scoot 3000rpm move off really slowly. Proper move off rpm also 3500rpm. But squeeze throttle harder, still will go 4000rpm, not 5000rpm straight, which what i exp on Synman's scoot rev to 5000rpm!

Wat u noe is uf u change lighter roller, rpm will increase n thus u will hv more torque......but will lose top end...im using Dr pulley sliding roller but remain wif stock weight which is 15g....

Posted

I used to use Dr Pulley sliders in my ex-Kymco Downtown 125i. The engine does rev higher rpm, but after awhile, top speed limit at 90kph. Open up and checked the sliders, and it got uneven cut. End up decided to stay with stock.

Can change to sliders, but if change, recommended must change to Dr Pulley variator, sliders and clutch.

Dr pulley recommand using stock variator n it works....cheap mod n instant feel....double the life n u nid to plc it correctly else it will be sluggish in pick up n cant go high speed......more grams less pick up but top end gain n less gram, fast pickup but suffer high speed n oso more fuel n higher rev.....

Posted

I prefer to stick to stock. Frankly, the Majesty 400 is fast enuf as it is! It makes the best use of 34bhp.

Any faster, i think its T-Max parallel twin or gear bike (very important to have engine brake effect i feel).

Well, may be Topgear is young and need to experience some more. Hence....the need for speed.

But seriously Topgear, scooter won't give you the adrenaline rush. If you want speed, get a street bike or sport bike.

On my scoot, I don't twist and go. (The really fast way) I find the spot where it engages nicely and increase my accelaration from there (if I need to).

Only time I really play more with the bike is when it is already cruising on the road. ;)

Anyhow, this is my style mostly and I'm sure every different rider will handle their bike differently.

No luh. Not that i need to experience some more. I love my Majesty! Actually, Majesty when revved to its max torque rpm, accelerates off like a horse on fire (not that i know how it feels like, but you get the idea). For Singapore roads and even touring in Msia, Majesty is more than enough. I can vouch as Ive ridden the Majesty up to Kuantan. Im sure those in this group who have gone further, can agree likewise too!!

Majesty can take serious corners with speeds as well. Thats how good the chassis is!
