Haha Just now 1.30pm at Ubi n beside bedok reservoir,

kena road block and stop by TP/LTA

Helmet visor too dark and chin strap not tight enough.

When tested, my LTD malaysia visor is only 40% !!!

Been using for pass 9 yrs now then know it is illegal.

 

Lucky sergant give chance... heng arrgg otherwise $50fly away..

So watch out, if your visor is less that 75%

For majesty250 belt change interval, i have clock 40Kkm before.

Most of the time no pillion, with piliion should expect 30K or so.

At 20K inspection still shows ok sign. spec is min 21mm belt width.

I ride with a spare belt just incase ....

 

Anyway just got a $60 PSB sticker helmet with clear visor and a inner tint switch up/down visor, like fighter pilot I know helmet should get good quality firberglass type, but chaim see tong first..

 

Anyone know how to recondition the windscreen?

My screen is misty not clear. I tried use car polish, but effect fades off very fast.

Can use amour-all ? Any tips on how to polish up so that is becomes clear again?

Majesty 250 V belt can get from AutoMAchinary near mustafa

About $70 for yamaha package

$50 for cheaper type

 

Well i just change my rectifier/regulator unit. $60

Also change headlamp $4.50 and some meter bulbs.

Battery no more whistling sound leow ..

 

Finally i also change rear yokohama Hoot tyre $90 !!!

Gerald - look at my above post #7 for info . Part numbers are there you can quote them the part number and double check just in case your YP400 model does not match.

 

Mine's YP400 Majesty 2005 model and i got it from automachinery so and it's the correct one according to ah chong..changed it about half year back together with the rollers .

 

i think majestyboy's bike is YP250 - so abit different.

 

for YP400 in general you can follow the guide on post #7.

Sorry, mine is YP250 indeed. Parts price is standard, not so much inflated compare to bike shop. Then they have to add workmanship cost n tools, garage...

 

Just a comparison: in 2001, i change belt only at bike shop at bt merah. I think total is about $130. Back then i didnt have so much tools, like the deep scoket 8mm, some 14mm, 17mm 19mm socket wrench, ratchet, etc. If you have tools you can also change yourself. Othewise give shop earn lor. Change myself = oily hands, now i always wear a glove when servicing, like change oil....

Changing the belt by hand is abit difficult, need an impact wrench to remove the pulley nut.

oh i got make a pulley stopper, a V bar with 2 bolts to hold the primary pulley while a socket wrench torque the nut out. Its possible, done it a couple of times already

Mess up the tuning or something not right?

Pilot jet 1-7/8 turn

 

If during decelaration, got explosion, exhast gasket may be leaking.

By the way, do you have any advice for me?

 

I've changed EVERYTHING, even the clutch spring, but my bike still vibrates hard, engine hardly above idle when moving off. This usually happens on cold mornings, or after it rains.

 

Changing new belts and rollers helps, but it only lasts afew weeks at most. Engine also doesn't rev freely if I roll on the throttle to accelerate, asif the front pulley is stuck.

Last time my first majesty also like dat. the present one doen't have this problem.

I can only explain it as a sticky clutch problem.

There is only a temporary technique to cure it.

 

When in the morning or cold move off, if you are expecting a clutch virbration, do this.

Hold the rear brake tight, rev the engine abit, to clear off the rust(i think) a few times.

Then release the brake and prepare to move off.

Try it.

Majesty old leow, cannot drag off from traffic leow, boh lut loh....

power lost is probably cause by some compression lost

 

The pulley ratio change is corespond to road speed.

So whatever throttle position you apply during accelaration, it takes time to rev up as speed goes up. Different from skipper.

My Majesty is 9 years old, coming 100,000km soon. I changed clutch pads and springs already, not cheap!

 

Yes, engine seems wheezy, but still can manage 130km/h (speedo) on flat road.
