tell you guys how i do horns:

1st) remove fairing

2nd) lay wiring

3rd) fix bracket for horn

4th) fix relay

5th) connect all wiring

6th) testing testing

7th) cable tie all wiring n tight horn bracket

8th) we testing again!

9th) thn u go home n scare the **** out of anybody runing across your path

 

halla horn last longer !!!

Fix air horn = summon ! i check at the summon website, cannot put air horn. kena $30 fine i think or more!

 

Now my bike ugly already, put E33 box, and now selling it away and looking for any kind soul that want to trade Givi E33 with the small cute2 Givi E16 box if im right.

 

What i like about yamaha X1-r?

 

Its unique. U see one time, u know its X1-r. And the handle bar of course! riding x1 before, and x1 riding style same as spark, so no point getting a spark, so getting a x1-r.

2) if i buy a new x1-r, it comes with spoke rims.. how much do ususally people pay to the shop if they want 2 change to sport rims?

1) from wat i unds, got e start no sport rims, vice versa.

 

if got estart, sure got kick start also.

 

Unless u specify u want estart, AND wanna change sport rims (Additional charge)

 

2) 8 spoke Racing Boy about $140 SGD. I heard if go ah gua lane do abt 200 RM?

Brand new yamaha x1-r u can choose.

 

1. get sport rim with kick start only.

2. get a spoker rim with electric start + kick start of course.

 

And sport rim, cost RM 170. and must change tyre (dunlop size 80/80 front and 90/80 ) a total of Rm170 also.

currently riding RXZ, thinking of changing to X1R... have a few questions, hope u guys can help

 

1) Got a quote today for brand new x1r OTR - $5400, is that a fair price?

2) Will it be tough to get used to the x1r after riding RXZ? Is the x1r less powerful?

3) Sometimes when the winds are very strong, I will get blown to the next lane on the expressway, do u guys have this problem riding the x1r?

1- Price wise, OTR with insurance 5.3K is fair engh for me.

 

2. In term of power, cannot compare to rxz. 2 stroke and 4 stroke, sure cannot compare one. In term of power, okok. In term of speed, can be as fast as rxz stock if u mod yr x1-r. But x1-r for me, is for dolling up bike and not for fast riding. koz disturb FC.

 

3. For me, i say its bullshit. I ride at expressway, never be blown, or never feel any shake. yet alone being blown away to he next lane. Maybe koz im 73KG. But never heard of it before. My bike running in, i ride highway, a lorry overtake, also no shake.

 

If u ride rxz, and thinking to change to cub, u must condier Yamaha X1-r and Yamaha Spark. koz both engine the same but handle diffrent so riding style is diffrent. correct me if im wrong.

I think x1r looks better than Spark, but can put bottle holder in front? Or nothing fits the x1r's body shape?

Let me put this clearly with all the people who want to buy X1-Rs.

 

If you're downgrading from your powerful 2 stroke to this mini 4 stroke please dont expect any strong pick up, high top speed or very very balanced in cornering. Reason is

 

1) The pick up is acceptable, unless you really want a better pick up, you can go 1) go change sprockets 2) change air filter, increase pick up but lower top end 3) GPR pipe is rumoured to add a little more punch in the pick up

 

2) It's only 135 cc so i believe the max that it can ever go is 140km/h (i've achieved it, using stock tires). If you want top speed then i suggest you do it somewhere where you wont endanger lives anywhere.

 

3) It would be balanced after you add a fork stabliser and maybe if you change to battlax tires. The rest im still not sure you need to ask the experts here.

 

So my bottom line is, if you want pick up fast, top speed high and at the same time you want it to be as safe as possible it's simply ridiculous. You want fast go change carb, do big bore put AHM or Endurance pipe or whatever you want. But dont expect by doing this you can save mileage, as i've said before..

 

When you speed your petrol goes as fast as it does.

 

Or in any other case use the money instead of modding go buy a Super4 or R1 or any class 2 bikes. Im sure it would satisfy your needs more.

 

So please take this in consideration when you want to buy X1-R.

Actually if u want it to be more stable, just down your fork and tighten your handle slightly. For me i down my fork and weld some parts(cant remember) and change it to CAR oil, my stabliser can throw away after that. Unless u want $5

oh there my speed meter reading is 120. i see like eh, how come still same distance wif u one. till the up slope then i notice u slow down! i oso slow down abit till 110 but still overtake u. lOL.

 

but buy all the horns n wires this n tat total how much?? + u fixing n equipments u need to do one.

definitely u wont get used to RXZ n x1r. coz the pick up n top end totally different. stability oso different. tyres different. basically everything different. onli thing same is its a motorbike wif 2 wheels and need petrol to run. x1r is onli for relax riding, not for challenging wif other bikes.

 

base on how strong the wind is, do u noe recently there's this super heavy wind tat goes 83km/h? tat wind definitely can blow u from 1st land to 4th lane if u cant handle. i see my window outside the trees bent 90degrees on tat day. gripping the handlebar too tight does affect oso coz normal ppl hand wont maintain straight for long distance one. coz tiring u noe.

well said! same mindset as mi. we ride for enjoyment n transport. not for lacing neither challenge. if wan then go track, dun disturb the road user!
